I have noted that Lopez has identified that proper hand hygiene as a clinical issue under review by Nursing National Patient Safety Goals. I am intrigued that she has gone further to mention problems associated with poor hand hygiene, such as reducing both morbidity and mortality rates. However, I don’t agree with Lopez that absenteeism is brought by poor hand hygiene. Besides, she argues in her post that proper hand washing is a long-term goal in healthcare. I am thrilled that she has recognized the PICOT model that is utilized by the researchers while conducting a study on clinical issues. However, Lopez has failed to analyze her clinical problem based on the PICOT. For instance, she has not mentioned the outcomes of the study and the time frame.
