Re: Question-8:1: ALL Posts and Replies HERE, Please (Thanks) by Sara Huisman – Tuesday, March 10, 2020, 1:44 PM There are many health behaviors that the population exhibits which can be destructive to their wellbeing. One behavior that sticks out to me is leading a sedentary lifestyle. Lack of physical exercise can contribute to many chronic conditions such as cardiovascular disease, obesity, and type 2 diabetes (Jonas & Kovner, 2018). These are often life-limiting and sadly, preventable. If I were to create an intervention to contribute to the resolution of this issue, I would start with education. This habit generally starts at a young age. If I had the opportunity to structure a school day around being active and moving during learning, I think children may develop a new way of thinking. One article states that early behaviors, as well as educational performance, contribute to obesity and other chronic conditions (Brophy et al., 2009). Teaching our children educational basics does not need to occur while sitting at a desk. Many times, children learn best by physically interacting with the topics they are learning…

Oral History Project Research on Battling Obesity As learners, communication studies impact our understanding of how to engage with other people and how to hold conversations with them. In addition to this, it plays a major role in helping us improve our listening skills and capabilities. Through communication studies, we are able to become better students because we are able to gain insight into how to accumulate knowledge during lectures. Also, the students are able to be attentive in class to understand the different concepts they learn. I have had the opportunity to take some communication classes that have had a significant impact both on my academic and social life. The two communication classes I took played a major role in shaping my understating of conducting interviews as well as mediation. The communication classes I took include Comms 116P and Comms 111P. Comm 116P focuses on theoretical and communication skills involved in mediation practice, while Comm 111P focuses on the preparation and conducting interviews. The concepts I learned from the two classes allowed me to incorporate them into other classes…

Prevention of cyber-attacks methodologies          Having a secure and modernized enterprise architecture is that among the initial steps in explaining vital components. Superior healthcare is a location needing multiple places in what is known as WAN. It is adaptive since it supports cloud authentication and access to various sources of networks.it is able to make use of many network devices and operating systems. The superior healthcare is capable of giving remote access to all the functions of the business, management distribution, authentication and access mechanism for modernization. There is a need to deeply review and detail all the concepts and vital management and all practices. Business functions of the superior healthcare comprise of the needs of IT and the vulnerabilities for proper assess and show the abilities, weaknesses and risk of that must be functionally defined. Functions of the businesses contain branches and other vital specialties that can be taken care of in the following subsets: management, financial, administration and clinical. Under the administration as a subset has some subcategories like the payroll, scheduling, IT support and human resources. Matters…

Statement of the problem In the 21st century, diseases associated with abnormal heart rhythms are on the rise. The lifestyle that most people are living in is a significant factor that has mainly contributed to the increase in this problem. The causes include overweight and obesity, drug abuse including excessive consumption of alcohol and smoking, and poor diets and unhealthy foods. Other factors are beyond human control and are factors to do with nature. People who are likely to have abnormal heart rhythms include people from families known to experience heart problems, people with diabetes, people who have undergone heart surgery, and people with low potassium and other electrolytes (Sulivan, 2013). It is known to cause sudden cardiac deaths. However, the devices that are available in the market and hospitals are not entirely reliable. Technology has tried to discover methods that can measure blood flow in one’s skin, therefore, estimating the rate of heartbeats. Most devices provide inaccurate data and provide information when it is too late. The sensors are not enough and are weak. Others are too heavy for…

Evidence Based Practice (PICOT) Assignment Evidence base practice integrates best available evidence to guide nursing care, make decisions about care and improve patient outcomes It is a problem solving approach to clinical practice that integrates -systematic search for and critical examination of most relevant evidence to answer a clinical question -uses one’s own clinical expertise -includes patient preferences and values Starts with a PICO question P=patient population of interest-can be age, gender, ethnicity, special disorder I=Intervention/issue of interest-what you plan to do, or a variable of interest C=comparison of interest-alternative considering O=outcome of interest, what plan to accomplish; should be measurable T= Time- what is the time frame? For example- Does hand washing among healthcare workers reduce hospital acquired infections in 30 days? What is the effect of pre-op teaching on post-op compliance within one year? Assignment on Evidence Based Practice: -Formulate a PICO question related to your clinical practice area or area of interest (such as Maternity nursing or Pediatric nursing or Medications used to treat asthma) Conduct research related to the PICO question on nursing databases such as…

Qualitative Study Analysis Qualitative research is primarily exploratory research that seeks to gain a deeper understanding of the problem and its underlying reasons through open-ended questions. The critical disadvantage of qualitative data is the fact that it is not a statistically representative form of data collection, which makes it difficult to measure and replicate. Nevertheless, qualitative research is valuable for providing insight in a flexible, detailed, and humanistic way (Streubert Speziale & Rinaldi Carpenter, 2011). Bramley & Matiti (2014) used a qualitative exploratory, descriptive approach to explore patient experiences and perceptions of compassion within nursing care. The study used in-depth semi-structured interviews on a sample of ten patients to collect data. From the survey, Bramley & Matiti (2014) were able to collect data that centered around three key themes. The first was the meaning of compassion from the perspective of the study participants. The second was the compassionate impact care, or lack thereof had on the participants. The third was how the participants believed nursing could be more sympathetic. This data helped the researchers develop recommendations that are relevant to…

childhood obesity Introduction There have been rapid nutritional changes in the world that are characterized by the increased persistent of dietary deficiencies. The deficiencies are evidenced by the high prevalence of anemia and other diseases that are related to a lack of zinc or iron (Sahoo et al., 2015). Equally, there is a progressive increase in the incidence of chronic diseases that are related to nutrition. These diseases include diabetes, cardiovascular diseases, obesity, and some types of cancer (Sahoo et al., 2015). Obesity has become an epidemic in developed countries. The highest epidemiological levels of childhood obesity have been in developed countries; nevertheless, its incidence is also increasing in developing countries. The inherent hormonal differences make females more vulnerable to obesity compared to males (Cuda &Censani, 2018).  There has been a drastic increase in the number of children suffering from obesity in the last four decades (Cuda & Censani, 2018).   Thus, childhood obesity has become a severe health problem in the 21st century (Williams & Greene, 2018). It is steadily affecting the lives of children in low and middle-income countries.…

Metaphysics Metaphysics defined as the first philosophical branch that studies the factual feature of reality. Metaphysics creates a basis from which people give meaning and perceive their existence. The Metaphysics branch of philosophy covers the world, being, and the presence of things. Debatably, many researchers have concluded that metaphysics is a primary philosophical foundation; according to Aristotle, it is wisdom or a first philosophy because of its deals with the principles and first causes of things. Metaphysics asks regarding the nature of reality of the world existence, what is the source or origin of creation, and whether worlds exist outside a human mind. Metaphysics also question the impact of the incorporeal soul on the human physical body, asks about the objective of living things, and whether God or gods exist.   It is worth noting that metaphysics is significant to modern studies for three main reasons. First, knowing the operational mechanism of the subconscious and conscious parts of the mind helps in knowing how to enhance the human learning desire, increase the human learning capacity, and typically know how human…

Lipid homeostasis Lipid homeostasis is one of the critical determinants of atherogenesis—the condition results in an upsurge in the needs of lipid-laden cell macrophages for the formation of atherosclerotic. Perturbations in lipid homeostasis entail a number of conditions that acts in favor of oxidative stress from the main atherosclerosis conjecture. Both are assigned to lipoproteins that are both low and high density in the prevention of atherogenesis process. A significant step in atherogenesis is the entry and accumulation of LDL associated with vessels of the wall. LDL undergoes through the process of oxidation through diverse pathways when it is trapped in the subendothelial space. Oxidized LDL contains significant pro-inflammatory, pro-thrombotic, and the pro-apoptotic, which together advances the imbalance between the microenvironment of the vascular intima. Removal of lipids in the vascular walls has been said to be the main anti-atherogenic mechanism if HDL particles. Atherosclerosis is recognized to be more than just a mere supply of cholesterol. Maintaining lipid homeostasis is important to the functioning of the heart. Obesity-induced cardiomyopathy compromises lipid homeostasis resulting in an increase in health problems.…

How PCOD affect your skin and hair and how to deal with it? PCOD is known as Polycystic Ovarian Disease in other words. This disease invites many health issues in women, and this is the main reason for which you need to be cautious and take expert advice.
