Norwalk Virus Diagnosis Chapter 45 (a) I tend to believe that throughout the education career of nursing, one element which is usually taught is the diagnosis of nurses. Nurses go through a lot of experiences while in their facilities and also outside their facilities. They meet individuals who come with various complain that they suffer from a certain illness, hence needing support from them. As a nurse, one has to be familiar with these various types of diagnoses (Carol & Sheila, 2013). In this paper, I shall discuss the Norwalk disease. This is because, from the case of the cruise ship, I tend to believe that the descriptions refer to the Norwalk virus. That is the symptoms explained to refer to the Norwalk virus. As a nurse, one can identify a certain kind of illness through the symptoms and signs an individual is displaying. However, some signs and symptoms may vary: therefore, a nurse should be very careful before making conclusions if it is a certain kind of illness. For example, headaches are a common symptom of illness; therefore, more…
Case Analysis Memo Memo To: Nora Perry From: <Your name> Date: December 3, 2019 Subject: Case Report – Cottle & Taylor In this case, one of the factors that drove the demand for Cottle toothbrushes in India was encouraging people to improve their quality of life, especially oral hygiene. Demographic factors also contributed because India had at least 50% of the population who did not have access to effective oral hygiene strategies. Traditionally people relied on neem tree twigs, tobacco, charcoal and ash for oral hygiene. Economic factors also contributed because the growth was at an all-time high of 17%. Social factors in terms of habits and earning capacities of the targeted market were significant. For the organization to create the demand, people needed to have information that traditional strategies did not work. A common strategy was to develop campaigns to promote free dental checkups. Partnerships with IDA and oral hygiene professionals aimed at enhancing demand through awareness creation to enable Indians to change their attitudes and habits. Cottle enjoyed first-mover advantage because they started from the beginning and…

Non- Stimulant ADHD Drugs When it comes to the treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, the typical choice, seems to be stimulant drugs. However, several non-stimulant drugs can also serve that purpose. The body systems of individuals are different, and so some might not respond to stimulants. They might have to deal with more side effects or have a health history that does not work well with stimulants. Use of Health Information Technology at an Individual Level Introduction Health Information Technology (HIT) application is mainly the use of welfare data that is processed using both hardware and software with storage and retrieval capabilities. The technology is a relatively broad concept that deals with a variety of tools and instruments that directly impact the services offered in health institutions such as hospitals (Kruse & Beane 2018). Different levels have a direct impact from technology, especially at individual, professional and organizational levels. A proposed National Environmental Standard for the outdoor storage of tyres: 2020 consultation The National Environmental Standards (NES) are regulations made under part 5, section 43 of the Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA). They are used to help the government make decisions on the management of environmental resources such as pertaining land use and division, coastal marine life, rivers and lakes and noise. Given that most of these decisions are made by the local authorities, in matters that will potentially affect the entire nation, or there are significant variations in the local costs over the benefits, the NES helps ensure same standards are implemented nationally. It is only in specified sections under the NES where the local councils can impose stricter or more lenient rules. From the Proposed National Planning Standards evaluation report 2018, we learn the place of NES and how it fits in the New Zealand’s planning framework. The purpose of the plans is to state on how land use and environmental issues are going to be managed in a manner that reflects the community’s values. It is…
Julia And Sunny The short story called “Julia And Sunny,” written by Sarah Shun Lien, who is also the narrator, describes the relationship changes that occurred between two of her closest friends who are getting a divorce. They have been going through some difficult years; therefore, this couple does not have any other choice than to announce their separation. It is not just hard for the couple, but it is also difficult for their best friends, the author, and her husband, who spend a lot of time together. Shun-Lien explains that although she knew about this subject for a while, it is still a shock. In this story, the narrator presents the feelings expressed by their family and their loved ones after divorce, allowing the reader to see another side of the divorce story. The theme of the author’s story is even something as permanent as marriage has an expiry date; the tale also expresses the effect of the divorce on their loved ones. Sarah Shun Lien has known Julia and Sunny since medical school. Shun Lien, speaking for…
MAPPING CARE USING STANDARDIZED TERMINOLOGIES The use of standardized nursing language and terminologies has dramatically influenced the provision of comprehensive and quality care across all the aspects of patient care. The commonly used standardized terminologies are NANDA-I, NIC and NOC, and they are used concurrently in planning patient care (Herdman, 2014). They are used as a means of providing a comprehensive, research-based, standardized classification of nursing diagnosis, nursing interventions and a set of nurse-sensitive patient outcomes. Pressure ulcers are localized areas of tissue necrosis caused continuous and increased pressure between two planes; in this case, the patients’ skin and the bed. They develop due to moisture, pressure and poor blood circulation, which leads to the death of skin tissues causing abrasions and skin friction (Grey, Harding, & Enoch, 2016). With continued contact, it results in the development of pressure ulcer wounds. I am interested in pressure ulcers as a nursing diagnosis because its development is contributed by nurses’ failure to manage the patient effectively. The nurses’ inability to turn the patient two hourly, change linen, provide adequate hydration and…
