Concepts of computer networking A computer network includes a group of computers linked by physical media (wired) or uses various wireless protocols to share resources. Computer networks are essential for all contemporary organizations because they provide quicker, easier access to any data that can be digitally represented and stored. When a group of interconnected computers with no computer occupying a more superior position, they form a network referred to as a peer-to-peer network. Every device can communicate with all the other machines on the network in this form of the network, but usually, each stores its own files and runs its applications. On the other hand, there exist Client-Server Network in which one or more node referred to as a server, on behalf of other machines (clients) performs critical functions such as user authentication, storage of data, and running massive, shared, resource-intensive applications such as databases and software for the management of client relationships (CRM). Another network type that has been on the rise is a cloud network in which an organization involves a third-party vendor to host their applications,…
Discussion on Development Development is a sensitive process in human life, and that begins from the moment one is conceived and extends throughout their life. It is interesting that human development is not an independent process but is affected by various forces that shape the outcome of an individual in their different stages of life and even how they relate to the ideas at their disposal. This discussion post will examine the various biological and environmental influences on development, experiences that shaped my development, and the four stages of Piaget’s Theory. Influences on Development Biological factors play an important role in influencing the development and outcome of an individual. One of the biological factors that influence one’s development is the genetic influence, and this addresses the fact that there are certain traits inherited from parents that affect the way a person develops. The other biological factor that influences how a person develops is the brain chemistry. The brain chemistry refers to the ways the chemical makes up of the brain function based on how the child is brought up…
Challenges of the Global Virtual Projects Global Virtues is one of the most embraced working models which have also been contributed to by the development of technology. Various advantages are coming with global virtual operations. However, some of the benefits have not been enjoyed due to the number of challenges facing the model. As a matter of fact, the global virtual challenges care to challenge to control due to the distanced relationship. Besides, an attempt to control one aspect might worsen the condition of another element. Some of the primary challenges facing the system include; Conflict Resolution, Increased Dependency, Regulations, and Law and Intellectual Property Rights. The named aspects have entirely undermined the global virtual operations hence reduced project sustainability. Conflict Resolution Every work environment and project operation is susceptible to conflicts. In places where the people cannot meet and discuss face to face is more likely to experience differences of interest. Notably, the difference in the ideas will hinder the process involved in the management. Therefore, each conflict needs to be sorted out sustainably. However, the global virtual project…
Difference Between Assigning and Delegating Work While administering quality health care and practical work criterion has to be laid down, and it should be well understood by the personnel to affect patient safety and outcome positively. Assigning and delegating work can be quite complicated, depending on the instances in which they occur. Understanding how and when each of them is applicable is the head start of the satisfactory and smooth performance of required tasks. Delegation of work in the sector of health care and life sciences can be described as the transfer of the responsibility of one health worker for the performance of a task to another equally trained and capable worker while retaining answerability for the outcome (Potter, Deshields, &Kuhrik, 2010). In this case, however, the duty imposed on the health care worker is outside their role description. The overall client care and decision making are left entirely in the hands of the delegating worker. Assigning of work, on the other, hand happens when the requisite duty falls within the health care provider’s role description, and it aligns with…
Development theory The sole aim of child development theories is to explain the changes and growth of children in the course of their childhood. Such approaches focus mainly on various development backgrounds incorporating emotional, social, and cognitive growth. The study of human development is extensive, based on several vast subjects. In real essence, we all have experience with development. However, it is sometimes tricky to understand the reason behind the growth, learning, and actions of individuals. These theories try to explain the reason why children behave in specific ways, whether their behaviors are related to their age, family relationships, or individual temperaments. The Development psychologists strive to give an insight into such questions such that we may understand, explain, and predict the individuals’ behaviors that are experienced throughout their lifespan. This report points out several child development theories developed by respective theorists in explaining different aspects of social growth and learning. Among a vast number of development theories, there exist five significant approaches, including Erik Ericson, Jean Piaget, Uri Bronfenbrenner, and Lev Vygotsky (week 1). This report will focus on…

The DSL Program and my work/life balance The DSL program is affecting my life in numerous ways. I had anticipated such effects hence made some changes in my life. However, the program is very engaging and requires a lot of commitment in terms of time and resources. Since I began the program, my family life has been the most affected. I have a very supportive and encouraging family. Before joining the program, we had an in-depth discussion about the same. I told my children that their mother would be going back to school, although at a higher level that would also be more demanding. They also understood my request for silence and a conducive environment around the home to do my work. However, I constantly feel like I do not have enough time with them. I also have a very demanding job that takes up most of my time during the weekdays. I only get to see my children and spend time with them on the weekends. During the weekdays, we only have a short time for breakfast and dinner…
