When these needs are and a person doesn’t feel hunger, thirst, or cold, he proceeds to the second level of needs. The second-lowest need is need for security, under this a person needs to feel secure in the society and his/her family. The individual will develop the desire to feel protected against violence, this need can be manifested…

Symbolism in poetry Symbolism is another element used by the poet to promote engagement in poetry. Symbolism refers to the use of symbols to signify ideas and quality. Symbolism involves giving ideas a symbolic meaning, which sometimes occurs differently from their literal sense (Emmet Parker, 1). Symbolism occurs in different forms such that sometimes an action or a series of events possess symbolic values. Furthermore, these symbols change their meaning depending on the content of the poem. A symbol in a poem can be clearly understood by when, where, and how it is applied. Sharon Olds’ poem has repeated the question asking how those individuals who make love achieve to do that. Also, she asks, “How do they come to god, come to the still waters, and not love?” In this part, Sharon Olds that it is better to have sex without loving a person. She uses symbolism to describe two people who are not in love (Sharon Olds). Furthermore, Sharon Olds uses the symbols of dancers to represent people who have sex without getting love involved. The seventeenth line…

NATURE THEME IN LITERATURE Natural environment has been a very critical subject for most poets and prose writers. Nature obliges as much more than simply a passive setting against which the compelling actions unfold. Rather, nature in most of those works is truthfully a living character through which the real human identity is raised either through the characters’ alignment with the natural environment or their struggle against it. Writers have many similarities based on their description and how they depict nature in general. However, there are also differences depending on the writers’ standpoint when addressing mutual relationship between nature and mankind. Taking scrutiny in three of nature writers of the history, Eli Kintisch, Alan Weisman and James Lovelock we have several insights towards nature. We find many similarities as compared to the existing differences in their literature point of view towards this subject. For instance, James Lovelock in his book The Revenge of Gaia points out at the worst case scenarios that could happen in future as a result of people neglecting the health and safety of their planet.…
Mythology in Advertisement I need it by tomorrow before midnight. You will need to find 2 different advertisements (NOT COMPANIES) for products that relate to mythology. You need to focus in on the advertisement itself, not necessarily what they are selling or the brand name it is under. Sometimes these will coincide, but the first part of your paper needs to be focused on the use of mythological reference in the ways companies advertise their products, not on the companies themselves (save that for the last part of this paper – see below). Here′s an example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0j6RoxNrDfg. Zeus from Ancient Greek Mythology Do your best to identify the specific myth(s) being used in the ad and which culture(s) created it. These can be print ads, video ads, digital ads, etc. You must be able to share that ad with me somehow. [unique_solution]If its print you’ll need to scan it and attach it to your final paper digitally, if its digital you’ll need to save the image and insert it into your document, if it’s a video, you’ll need to copy…
Pocahontas’ essay The daughter of a powerful chief of a confederation of tribes in the tidewater region of Virginia, Pocahontas played a crucial role in negotiating a stable relationship between the Jamestown colonists and the Powhatan Confederacy, thus ensuring the survival of the English colony. More interesting is the myth that has evolved around Pocahontas that emerged during the colonial era and has continued into the present day. Historians are unsure about Pocahontas’ exact date or place of birth, but rough estimates suggest the year 1595. She was the daughter of Powhatan, chief of the Powhatan confederation, a powerful alliance that united many of the tribes in Virginia at this time. Pocahontas was first noted by the English colonists in 1607 when she sauntered into Jamestown as a young girl. The storybook version of Pocahontas relates the tale of Capt. John Smith’s capture by Powhatan’s brother, Opechancanough, when Smith raided the Powhatan territory in search of food. Pocahontas rescued Smith, 16 years her senior, from certain death. As Smith later told the story, just when he was about to meet his death from two…

Film and Literature “Battle Royal” by Ralph Ellison focusses on the occurrence of incidences of racial inequality and it reflects the struggles of a small black boy who tries to fits into a world of white people. The main aspect that is revealed in the story is the Black man struggle in a racially conscious world. One understands the hardships faced by the black community through the speech which symbolizes the hardships faced by the black community when they were fighting for independence “”We of the younger generation extol the wisdom of that great leader and educator,” I shouted, “who first spoke these flaming words of wisdom: ‘A ship lost at sea for many days suddenly sighted a friendly vessel. From the mast of the unfortunate vessel was seen a signal: “Water, water; we die of thirst!”” The symbolic moment occurs when he is given the chance to speak in front of the most distinguished white people in the land. Poem review Choose one of the following poems to interpret. Argue what you think the theme is—basically, what point the poem is making about life: Robert Frost, “Mending Wall” (456-57) Robert Hayden, “Those Winter Sundays” (462) Langston Hughes, “The Negro Speaks of Rivers” (467) Adrienne Rich, “Living in Sin” (484) Anne Sexton, “Cinderella” (487-90) Some poems are more difficult than others, so be sure to read all of them before deciding. Your paper is essentially offering an interpretation of what the poem means and should be shaped accordingly. In other words, it will be a very poor choice to organize the paper according to the line-by-line progression of the poem. Instead, the thesis statement in your introduction should provide your basic interpretation—i.e., what the poem means—and the paper should then provide strong reasons to support the thesis. Use concrete evidence from the poem to back up this argument.[unique_solution] When quoting, provide in parentheses the line number(s) of the quotation. For example: In Robert Frost’s “Mending Wall,” the speaker explains that his “apple trees will never get…
