Richard Wright’s “12 Million Black Voices” Richard Wright’s “12 Million Black Voices” is a book that was published in 1941. In the book, the writer combines his prose style of writing with a compilation of photos showing the lives of poor black people in the northern ghettos during the Great Depression. The images in the book were particularly selected by Edwin Rosskam and were drawn from the Security Farm Administration. The pictures used in the book include works by prolific photographers of the people such as Dorothea Lange, Walker Evans, and Arthur Rothstein. The book covers areas from the rundown farm shacks in the north to the storefront churches of Harlem and black lives in the 1930s in the United States. It is a depiction of weariness, desperation and misery under the weight of rural poverty. Wright makes a compelling commentary of the pictures as he narrates about the history of oppression of African Americans in the U.S. However, the people also showed spiritual strength and resilience during this dark period. Consequently, the book stands out as a comprehensive work…

Ficto-Criticism Fiction-criticism is a type of research that is available to be accessed by the reader, and its access is more common than it’s standard as an academic test. The writer uses another medium to present their views and understand a particular subject; they use the theoretical concepts of a question and try to apply them to the situation they want to explain. At that concept, the writer presents their own subject –position, their interests, personal sensibilities, and potential biases. In this field, there involves two arguments; creative work and creatively practical. The original work generates detectable outputs, while artistic practice leads to research insight, which is later made and written down. The subject uses approaches when producing an experimental text, which consists of still frames from the original footage of video from the Kerb. Ulin 2011, who is an archeologist, uses an auto-archeology approach in her piece of work. She employs creative writing elements, which include sub-sections, which is a combination of poetry and original writing data presentation. When reading a part of work one needs to re-read the…

George Bernard Shaw Discussion George Bernard Shaw has motivated me with his wise words – the people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want and if they can’t find them, make them. These words provoke me to take responsibility for the revered goal of making the world a better place. I am inspired to embrace my dreams and fly higher while also supporting others. We live in a world of numerous challenges. Still, these words opened my eyes to a new approach where every problem offers greater opportunity – in developing and advancing the people around me as well as myself. The approach has greatly influenced my decision to proceed in my endeavor to create opportunities by running for House Representative. A briefcase of clothes and a couple of dollars was all I had when I came to America. Although I had so little materially, I had two significant assets, hope, and faith. The hope was that my life would get better and faith in the American dream.…
AP Statistics The sample size for question 3 part B (P1) was large enough for the simulation using the normal distribution in addition to the fact that the null hypothesis, which states that the data was normally-distributed, was true. More specifically, the values of Pm – Pc were 10,000, which was large enough to simulate using the standard distribution method. Furthermore, a histogram is an excellent method for summarizing a large quantity of data, especially when the value of data is greater than 10. The basis for using the normal distribution to solve question 3 part B (P1) is that the result of extensive data is always normally distributed. Additionally, the accuracy of normal approximation results is always directly related to an increase in the sample size. Hence it was appropriate to use the method for computing the results for the question since the sample size was 10,000, and there were high chances that the results would have been accurate. The normal distribution also allows for ease of approximating probabilities with random values that are difficult to memorize or even…
