Week 3: Human Population and Pollution Lab Report Form Updated: 2/28/2018   Name:              _________________ Date:               _____25/4/2020____________ Professor:        _________________   Important Note! Section 1 of this lab requires that you track your waste production for five days.  To complete this lab on time, please begin recording your trash production as soon as possible. In addition to conducting a daily audit of the waste that you produce (either as a household or as an individual), the remaining components of the lab are estimated to take another 45 to 90 minutes to complete. Introduction: The human population first reached 1 billion (i.e. 1,000 million) people in 1804, roughly 5 thousand and a few hundred years from our earliest records of human writing. However, it took just over a century for the global human population to gain another 1 billion people to reach a total of 2 billion people in 1927. Only thirty-three years later, the world population had gained yet another one billion people, and by 1974 the human population reached 4 billion people. As our population skyrockets, our society has become ever…

Design Constraints for Senior Project Name Institution                   Design Constraints for Senior Project – Water Purification Today, households are becoming more aware of water security issues, and properties designed to use water efficiently are now highly regarded by home buyers and the tenants. Building a sustainable home is requiring one to adopt water management strategies that meet quality assurance, quality control, and reliability. This ensures that the water obtained from any source is pure and safe from any infection that may harm the people consuming it. Hence, developing a design constraint that promises quality and reliability of the water used by tenants or homeowners is critical. I have developed a design constraint that can meet the need of my clients. The design is carbon filtration with UV radiation method. I have also chosen photovoltaic for the water cooling/heating process. The design is meant for using water from the sea, distilling it and purifying it for home use. Using carbon filtration by UV radiation method is…

Risk Assessment plan Introduction Knowing the potential risks, how it can affect your business as well as knowing what is likely to be done to mitigate the risk and react to it are the essential benefits for this risk assessment plan. As it is always sad, prevention is better than cure, and therefore being aware of the possible threats for the organization can save the company numerous headaches as well as potential failures in the process (Ye et al., 2015). Outline for the RA plan According to Persechino (2013), a risk assessment outline has; identifying the risk: This is usually the first step in the creation of a risk assessment plan. This phase shall involve gathering or collecting knowledge of the risk management team as well as the appropriate stakeholders and recognize every potential pitfall that projects can face at every stage of their execution. Creation of a risk register: Once the risks shall have been identified, this phase shall involve getting them down on a paper then associating them with the appropriate aspects where they are likely to occur.…

Rivers are People Too (Regional 1) Introduction New Zealand previously passed the Te Awa Tupua Act, which gives Whanganui River and its surroundings the rights of a person. Soon after, India followed suit and gave Ganges and Humana rivers and their surroundings the same in order to preserve and conserve them. The rivers have suffered human pollution for the longest time. Regardless, these rules leave the question of what does it mean for a river to have the rights of a person? (Regional, p. 1). The central conflict identified from this case is whether it is good to issue a river, the rights of a person and if this will correct the previous mistakes. My solution to this conflict is to raise public awareness of the essence of practicing sustainability. Argument I propose that it is right and to give rivers the rights of a person. Rivers have legal rights; they are rights-bearing entities whose rights should be enforced by the local community and individuals in court. However, it is unfortunate that these rights are not recognized in international treaties.…

The water catchment provides vital water for many functions in Ireland and the neighboring societies. The river gauge, therefore, helps to conserve and enhance the natural environment along with the river gauge that is rapidly affected by frequent. The essay below provides a detailed analysis of the Avonmore house water catchment point, as shown in figure 2 below. Figure 1: Location map for river gauge 10039, Avonmore house Map source: EPA Hydro net Figure 2: 10039 Avonmore house at Image source: EPA Hydro net Catchment characteristics Figures 1, 2, and 3 above; provide the exact location of the Avonmore house, a much detailed and more precise picture of the…

Forum Response: Homeland Security Post 1 Response: Jessica In her post, Jessica outlines that she learned the difference between Geospatial-Intelligence and Intelligent Collection in her fist week as geospatial intelligence is of more about analysis. Moreover, she states that she did not have nugget knowledge when first entering into the community because of her unusual nature. Although she believes information analysis is equally a crucial step in the intelligent cycle, it is diverse from information collection and more independent. However, both geospatial intelligence and intelligence collection adversely benefit from understanding their missions to natural communication and understanding between the two settings (Kussul et al., 2015). The post adequately captures both geospatial intelligence and intelligence collection, meaning to support its arguments on the subject thoroughly. Moreover, her analysis is self-centered, and when she was first introduced into the geospatial intelligence community, her observations are clearly stated. For example, she could notice a friendly rift between the geospatial information analysts and those primarily mandated with imagery analysis on the doctrine of imagery, imagery analysis, and geospatial analysis. Besides, geospatial intelligence analysts are…

Theories of Moral Status Regarding Fetus and their Influence Name Institution     Theories of Moral Status Regarding the Fetus and their Influence Moral status refers to the concept that associates ethics to the kind of treatment human beings, animals, or the environment via a hierarchy. The idea is used to define the degree of consideration available to living things. The basis of moral standing holds it that “an entity posses’ moral consideration if its interests are of moral importance to some degree for the entity’s own sake.” The understanding of moral status is commonly used in various situations for ethical decision making. Shepherd, J. (2018). The case study presents a rare condition in which there is abnormal fetal development with the fetus lacking arms. Dr. Wilson also identifies that there is no probability of future development of the limbs. As evident in the study, all parties involved in the case (Dr. Wilson, Jessica, Marco, and Aunt Maria) have varying viewpoints concerning the circumstance depending on the moral status of the fetus.
