Project Conflict I was involved in a project with my colleagues, where we were responsible for the installation of a new server system for the computer shop we were running. The project had five members who were to undertake the preparation process of ensuring the readiness of the organization for the new system. As such, some members were responsible for cleaning the machines and ensuring enough space for installation. Company data was also backed up following the security standards the project manager had set (Muigua, 2018). A conflict arose on the best model of adoption – whether the installation would be done continuously or whether it would be executed in stages. How did the project manager handle the conflict? The project manager decided to deliver the project in stages for the smooth transition of functions and technical know-how. The leader considered how they would ensure that all staff members were ready to adopt a new model of operation (Tabasi, Abdullah & Bryde, 2019). For instance, it was essential to consider the training needs of staff members before fully adopting the…

Examining the Impacts of Bullying An eight-year-old boy in Cincinnati school committed suicide days after he was taken to hospital. (Iati 2019). The boy had previously been found lying unconsciously in the washrooms of the school. The surveillance camera did not give much evidence as to what might have caused the boy to lay motionless. The school followed set protocols, and the school nurse released the boy saying his vital signs were intact. However, two days later, the dead body of the boy was found in his bed by the mother. Earlier on the mother had taken the boy to the hospital where he was diagnosed with gastrointestinal issues. However, the mother did not understand the real reason why the boy committed suicide. In the lawsuits that ensued, shocking revelations were made. The boy had earlier reported issues of bullying to his teacher, who did not take much attention. This was the reason behind the boy’s actions. Bullying is defined as actions that cause a threat to another person. The bullying may appear in different forms. Despite the kind of…
Boyz n the Hood V. Conflict Theory Criminal and Gangster movies are produced in the risky actions of criminals or gangsters, mostly netherworld figures, ruthless characters who maneuver outside the set and policies, committing burglary, and forcing their schemes through life. Boyz n the Hood is a film featured in 1991, in the neighborhood of backs, in South Central Los Angeles, California. Steve Nicolaides’ film represents several theories that are employed to reveal poverty and gang violence and their impacts on the black community. Among these theories is the Conflict theory. The film, Boys n the Hood, provides a critical summary passing across significant values and messages for a society, whereby the different sets of social classes are the leading root courses of societal conflicts. Child Development Observation Child development is physical, psychological, and emotional development that is experienced in the period of birth towards the final stages of adolescence in human beings. Here the child goes through the process of dependency in order to increase autonomy. This is continuous progress that has predictable events and also has a unique foundation for every kid (De Vries et al., 2016). Autonomy does not happen at the same time, but each stage is affected by the progressiveness of different developments. Genetics and prenatal development also take part in the child’s development study, the reason being that developmental changes might be profoundly affected by genetics aspects. This paper will explain the observation of child developmental observations pointing to the physical, cognitive, and psychosocial development of a kind (Schechter et al., 2017). My observation was carried out in a home where the parents had gathered them together. At that time, I had an opportunity to observe the four children’s behaviors; two were having their time playing with balloons and teddy bears while others were playing at a distance.…

Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect Introduction A lot of children and young people who are abused and neglected often incur neglect, exposure to domestic violence and emotional abuse, sexual and physical abuse. Dentists, school teachers, police officers, and psychologists, among other people, are mandated by the state to report all forms of child abuse and neglect (Zeanah & Humphreys, 2018). Whenever there is a reasonable ground to suspect that children are at risk of significant harm, then the law requires one to report such child violations. Reporting child abuse and neglect reflects several principles of professional conduct. Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect and Specific Principles of Professional Conduct Reporting child abuse and neglect reflects the principle that outlines the need for teachers to avoid denying or violating students’ legal rights intentionally (FLDOE, n.d). Child maltreatment. Many children across the world face abuse in various forms. They include sexual abuse, verbal aggression, physical abuse, and witnessing domestic violence. All these affect the wellbeing of a child and could result in psychiatric symptoms. According to the study, the effects of verbal abuse could last longer than other forms of abuse. Many children are exposed to more than one type of abuse, which produces an enduring impact on the development of the brain. However, the article focuses mostly on verbal abuse. The article also downplays the effects of sexual abuse in comparison to verbal abuse. In my view, all forms of abuse have adverse effects. Sexual abuse, for instance, can be traumatizing, especially because it usually comes from the people one trusts, and it is not easy to forget. While discussing the results, the article does not put it in a way that is easily understandable by everyone. The method used was a questionnaire that was given to young adults to assess their exposure to verbal abuse by parents. The results showed that verbal abuse had…
factors contributing to the American political behavior and change A common political culture suggests that Americans cooperate in one way. Some are liberal, and they tend to vote for democratic and others are conservative, and they vote for the republican. The attitudes determined the political development of the solid south and contributed to its transformation to the republican. Many factors, including gender, ethnicity, and race, and religion, contributes to the American political behavior and change. Shifts in gender influence contributed to the transformation since women started to vote in 1920. Women voting implies there is equal contribution because everyone got the right to vote despite the gender. However, many women supported democratic more than Republicans, and this means they somehow shifted their loyalty to the democrats. The reason why women recommend democratic its because they tend to believe the democrats support their issues like equal pay, work, and equal rights. Despite their tendency to help the democrats, their efforts to contribute to the republican have contributed to its transformation hence development. Religion is another factor that has contributed to the…
