The boy had previously been found lying unconsciously in the washrooms of the school. The surveillance camera did not give much evidence as to what might have caused the boy to lay motionless.  The school followed set protocols, and the school nurse released the boy saying his vital signs were intact. However, two days later, the dead body of the boy was found in his bed by the mother. Earlier on the mother had taken the boy to the hospital where he was diagnosed with gastrointestinal issues. However, the mother did not understand the real reason why the boy committed suicide. In the lawsuits that ensued, shocking revelations were made. The boy had earlier reported issues of bullying to his teacher, who did not take much attention. This was the reason behind the boy’s actions. Child Development Observation             Child development is physical, psychological, and emotional development that is experienced in the period of birth towards the final stages of adolescence in human beings. Here the child goes through the process of dependency in order to increase autonomy. This is continuous progress that has predictable events and also has a unique foundation for every kid (De Vries et al., 2016). Autonomy does not happen at the same time, but each stage is affected by the progressiveness of different developments. Genetics and prenatal development also take part in the child’s development study, the reason being that developmental changes might be profoundly affected by genetics aspects. This paper will explain the observation of child developmental observations pointing to the physical, cognitive, and psychosocial development of a kind (Schechter et al., 2017). My observation was carried out in a home where the parents had gathered them together.  At that time, I had an opportunity to observe the four children’s behaviors; two were having their time playing with balloons and teddy bears while others were playing at a distance.…

Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect Introduction A lot of children and young people who are abused and neglected often incur neglect, exposure to domestic violence and emotional abuse, sexual and physical abuse. Dentists, school teachers, police officers, and psychologists, among other people, are mandated by the state to report all forms of child abuse and neglect (Zeanah & Humphreys, 2018). Whenever there is a reasonable ground to suspect that children are at risk of significant harm, then the law requires one to report such child violations. Reporting child abuse and neglect reflects several principles of professional conduct. Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect and Specific Principles of Professional Conduct Reporting child abuse and neglect reflects the principle that outlines the need for teachers to avoid denying or violating students’ legal rights intentionally (FLDOE, n.d). The intentional violation of students’ legal rights can cause emotional or psychological abuse. Just like children and young adolescents, students have their rights, and the rights should not be violated intentionally. Students should have access to their legal rights since the law of the land…

Child maltreatment. Many children across the world face abuse in various forms. They include sexual abuse, verbal aggression, physical abuse, and witnessing domestic violence. All these affect the wellbeing of a child and could result in psychiatric symptoms. According to the study, the effects of verbal abuse could last longer than other forms of abuse. Many children are exposed to more than one type of abuse, which produces an enduring impact on the development of the brain. However, the article focuses mostly on verbal abuse. The article also downplays the effects of sexual abuse in comparison to verbal abuse. In my view, all forms of abuse have adverse effects. Sexual abuse, for instance, can be traumatizing, especially because it usually comes from the people one trusts, and it is not easy to forget. While discussing the results, the article does not put it in a way that is easily understandable by everyone. The method used was a questionnaire that was given to young adults to assess their exposure to verbal abuse by parents. The results showed that verbal abuse had…

factors contributing to the American political behavior and change A common political culture suggests that Americans cooperate in one way. Some are liberal, and they tend to vote for democratic and others are conservative, and they vote for the republican. The attitudes determined the political development of the solid south and contributed to its transformation to the republican. Many factors, including gender, ethnicity, and race, and religion, contributes to the American political behavior and change. Shifts in gender influence contributed to the transformation since women started to vote in 1920. Women voting implies there is equal contribution because everyone got the right to vote despite the gender. However, many women supported democratic more than Republicans, and this means they somehow shifted their loyalty to the democrats. The reason why women recommend democratic its because they tend to believe the democrats support their issues like equal pay, work, and equal rights. Despite their tendency to help the democrats, their efforts to contribute to the republican have contributed to its transformation hence development. Religion is another factor that has contributed to the…

Tyler D., C. Blog Post #7: Creation in Ovid’s Metamorphoses and Hesiod’s Theogony, 2015. In the book Ovid Metamorphoses, the story of creation depicts some similarities and differences between his beliefs and the works of several Greek Poets. Hesiod’s Theogony and Ovid’s metamorphoses are similar in how their myth about the creation of stories.  Both authors have extensively discussed the creation of man, the sky, the universe, the gods, and the world. However, Theogony presents the creation of the gods more extensively compared to metamorphoses.   Both stories have appreciated the use of water and the earth in creation of man. Metamorphoses include a woman in the description, whereas Theogony emphasizes how the two were created separately.  I agree with this description as it consequently brings out apparent differences and similarities in the two stories. The two texts have brought out how both Jupiter and Zeus punish humankind. Nevertheless, the two gods have punished humankind for different reasons and using different ways.   For instance, the man was given fire by Prometheus, who later assists man to trick Zeus into taking a…
