Synthesis Paper on course reflection Throughout this course, there were some goals that I had set to meet that corresponded with the syllabus Such goals were to know, understand and analyze how research in psychology research and methods are conducted, presented and also to provide a critical analyses skills in the case studies related to it using various research procedures and tools. In this synthesis paper, I will utilize the case study approach to analyze the things that I have learned about research at an introductory level and the way they can be evaluated utilizing a form of critique from a biblical Christian perspective. In this approach, I will carry out in-depth research as the only person fits in to analyze the above matters. Research at an Introductory Level The main things learned in research at an introductory level are that there are some matters to address in every scientific research, especially in psychology. First, one must understand the four goals of scientific research related to behavior that include; how to predict behavior, explain behavior, research the source of…
“Five”as the number of responsibility of man under the rule of God The number 5 appears 318 times in the Bible. Both in the purification of the leper (Lev. 14: 1-32) and the consecration of the priest (Ex. 29), the blood is placed on three parts of man: which, together, manifest what he is: the tip of the right ear, the thumb of the right hand and the big toe of the right foot. The blood in the ear separates it to receive the Word of God; in hand to do the assigned work; on foot, to walk in His blessed ways. According to the acceptance that Christ has before God, man’s responsibility is total. Each of these parts is sealed with the number five: the tip of the right ear represents the five senses; the thumb, the five fingers of the hand; and the big toe, the toes. This indicates that man was separated to be held accountable before God. “Five” is, therefore, the number of responsibility of man under the rule of God. In the parable of…
Concert Critique The concert that I attended was a music festival that was to be performed by a well-known artist in Miami. The vent was advertised in the mainstream media, and tickets were selling at high prices. It was an event that lovers of music would not miss. People were waiting for that event, and booking was high so as not to miss a space. The first element of the performance was the lights of the concert and how they interrelated well with the song. This moved me since the rhythm of the artist’s songs were in line with the lights. This made me feel part of the concert, and my moods were fully transformed to the extent that I felt as if I was the one performing. The second element of the performance was the interaction between the artist and the audience. How he would engage us during the concert was welcome and heartwarming. I was able to move in line with his dancing movements. This not only made me enjoy the show but also made me feel…
Violent/Loving God Observations Psalms describe God as loving where his favor rests upon the people of the Earth, he approves the work of their hands and makes their efforts successful. His grace is upon the world, showing he is loving. The ten commandments warned the Israelites from worshiping other gods because he is a God of envy. While prophets in the Bible predicted punishment upon Israelites who had gone against his teachings, indicating God was violent. A perfect example is how He (God) destroyed the Egyptian armies in the Red Sea, showing his extreme side while saving the Israelites as a loving act. The ten commandments, 8-Fold Path of Buddhism, the Confucian Virtues, and the 12 Vows of Jainism, believe in the truths and teachings that God expects humans to live. The things to follow and what is regarded as right from wrong. The commandments teach that man will end in heaven through Christ, while Buddhism believes that separation from God leads to continuous suffering on Earth and in hell. There are the same concepts of doing and faith…

Kimiyo Mishima Introduction The artist mentioned above was born in 1932. She is of a Japanese origin and is well known for her exemplary artistic works which mainly involve the use of ceramics (Koplos, 38). She has created a lot of realistic versions of matter than can easily get broken from ceramics. They include boxes, newspapers and some comedy books made from clay. The primary objective is to find out more about her artwork and the use of ceramics from…
Buddhism and Jainism Question 4 Buddhism and Jainism are two distinct religions. However, these religions are in a way or two related to each other, basically due to their common origin. It is believed that a revolt placed the two apart from being a common religion. Nonetheless, these two religions do have common beliefs and practices. For instance, both believe in life after death, Karma, and God and scripture. Concerning the life after death, both Buddhism and Jainism subscribe to the fact that reincarnation comes later after we die. The latter refers to the rebirth of the soul in a new form after the present body dies. The two believe in paradise as the permanent residence of our souls. Hell, for the two religions is non-existent. The concept of Karma is found on either side of the two. In both ends, Karma is an attachment of forces either negative or positive based on a person’s deeds, spiritual attachments and beliefs. Reincarnation always is believed to carry on the force, and as such, it takes effort to purify the soul. Both…
I believe in Buddhism A belief is the feeling that one develops over time that something is right. It is by the alternation of the mind that the person trusts an absolute existence to be significant enough to base their lives on it. Beliefs have varied over time, and some keep changing. One of the major faiths of the world is Buddhism. Buddhism is a religion that was founded by a man called Gautama in India. The Buddha, who is the founder of this religion, is not a god but rather an extraordinary man. The doctrine has grown to be prominent in East and Southeast Asia, but its influence is growing across borders. It is a religion that does not necessarily rely on the existence of a powerful deity or god. Instead, they focus on achieving enlightenment, which is a state of real awakening. That state of enlightenment is explained as having experienced nirvana. I believe in Buddhism because I think that people should do more good things because everything has a cause and effect that comes with it. I…
Field Research Paper (Religion) There exist different religions in the world; each religion has a set of beliefs and guidelines that define the general conduct of its members. The prevalent and popular religions in the world include Christianity, Islamic, Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, and Sikhism (Helland, 2013). To understand the beliefs of a given religion, it is wise to study through interviewing its members, personal involvement in the religion’s activities, and through books about the faith. Careful study is essential in understanding how a given religion operates, and what is permitted or not permitted in that religion based on their beliefs and guidelines. During my research, I visited Saint Patrick Cathedral in Fort Worth, Texas, where I had an interview with several priests and church members (Patrick, 2012). The main aims of the research were to understand Christian beliefs and guidelines within the Christian religion. To begin with, the mission of Saint Patrick Cathedral states, “We the parishioners of Saint Patrick Cathedral, a diverse community united in faith & tradition, are called by the Holy Spirit to love, serve and proclaim…
Spirituality Tradition The Arab world’s understanding of spirituality is closely related to religion and is highly regarded as the pillar that supports the human heart. It is the feeling within a person that informs their actions, perceptions, and attitudes towards the world around them. The term spirituality is also closely linked to the human soul as it directly impacts the inner peace or lack of it in a person. Showing good deeds towards fellow human beings and caring for the needy in society show that one has a good soul and is directed by spiritual beings. According to the Islamic religion, spirituality influence how people interact with one another. For instance, Islamic religion requires that people gather together for prayers to strengthen their faith in the Supreme Being, Allah. Gathering in a religions meeting is a spiritual journey that disconnects people from the physical being and connects them to the Supreme powers, which makes it possible for the powers to guide them in their daily lives. Spirituality is critical in a person’s life, as it influences various aspects of human…
