Space Travel Lab Report Over the years, ‘ astronomers have been discovering new exoplanets. Some of these exoplanets are rocky, temperate and have water. Exoplanets distinguish from planets since they orbit other smaller stars while planets orbit the sun. Planets existing outside the solar system that possess Earth-like properties lie within the habitable zones of the stars they orbit. Estimation of how livable a planet measures upon the Earth Similarity Index. The exoplanets density, surface temperature and escape velocity determine the earth similarity index. The acceptable range of the ESI is zero to one. Kepler 438b is one of the earth-like exoplanets exhibiting the highest known ESI of 0.88. Its radius is 12% larger than the earth and orbits a star that is 470 light-years from the earth. Gliese 667Cc is 24 light-years away from the earth and possess a mass of 3.8 times the earth. It occupies the habitable zone with a surface temperature of approximately 5℃. Kepler 442b is 1.3 times the size of the earth, orbits a star that is cooler than the sun, and it is…
Bellafonte – New York Times Article Why as Vladimir De Jesus Described as both Prototype and Outlier Vladimir de Jesus is described in the article as being both prototype and outlier due to some of the qualities he possesses. He is being described as a prototype college student since, personally, he perfectly represented all the qualities that most students of community college have. That is, he emanated from a financially challenged family and persuaded courses were that were most popular among students like arts and was in a great need for comprehensive remediation. Furthermore, he is described as an outlier student since he was endowed with an immense passion for philosophy and arts that have acted as his motivational drive to the entire course. Most students at the community college are adults, and some of them have families.
The Propaganda Campaign The cold war can be seen to have been a battle between the west and east. The United States and the Soviet Union were the two major players of the contest. The fact that the cold war did not involve direct combats and military involvement does not mean the impacts were ignorable. The spread of propaganda and rumors were the weapons used and the consequences were felt by the whole world. The mode of fighting was that one party would come up with propaganda against the other. The victim of the propaganda raised would decide to either respond or suffer from letting the claims go unanswered. The United States was in most cases at the receiving end. At instances where the claims were too heavy to bear with, the United States responded by issuing threats or sought diplomatic support to seek justice. The third party countries were not excluded by the impacts of the war of words. Each party fought to win the support of as many third world countries as possible to support their course. The…
Nitrogen Oxides Environmental conservation involves the proper management of harmful substances like Nitrogen Oxides. Nitrogen oxides are produced from the combination of nitrogen and oxygen during combustion. The emission of Nitrogen Oxide into the atmosphere is associated with health hazards that need to be assessed. Toxicology can help in understanding the harmful effects of Nitrogen Oxide on humans, plants and animals. The power of science can be used to predict the harm that can be caused and how the harm can be caused. The main reasons for assessing the harmful effects of Nitrogen Oxide include the fact that different people will respond differently in the event of exposure, only certain levels of a substance can be termed as harmful and that the time of exposure may affect the extent to which a substance is considered harmful. The management of Nitrogen Oxide needs a clear understanding of the harmful effects, the victims of the emission of Nitrogen Oxides and the level of harm caused by the emission of Nitrogen Oxides. Nitrogen Oxide is an end-product in the combustion of pure…

Study of the great Oregon basin The study of the great Oregon basin dates back in the 1930s in which many researchers gained interest in the area regarding the kind of life the inhabitants lived. Markedly, these people preferred an ancestry live, as evidenced by some of the oldest sites found there. Therefore, this paper seeks to discuss the cultural chronology of the Great Northern basin regarding various aspects of the lives of the inhabitants of the area. The inhabitants of the Great Northern basin comprises of indigenous people who have led an ancestry life even more evident in the 19th century (Simms, 2016). The ethnographic and archeological evidence backs this. According to Simms (2016), those people hunted the same type of animals, used comparable tools and gathered leaves from similar plants. Although there are notable changes in the similarity of these events, prehistoric evidence is useful in the study of ancient people and their lifestyle in the area. Dating back in the 4000bp, March was the month in which groundhog used to appear. In this period, people…
library as a function rather than a plurality of individual spaces What kind of a problem is a library? It’s clear that for many people it is not a problem at all, only a kind of obsolescence.1 At the extreme pole of this view is the technocrat’s total faith: with every book in the world online, what need could there be for the physical reality? This kind of argument thinks of the library as a function rather than a plurality of individual spaces. But each library is a different kind of problem and “the Internet” is no more a solution for all of them than it is their universal death knell. Each morning I struggle to find a seat in the packed university library in which I write this, despite the fact every single student in here could be at home in front of their macbook browsing Google Books…. Kensal Rise is being closed not because it is unpopular but because it is unprofitable, this despite the fact that the friends of Kensal Rise library are willing to run their…
Vilirio critical space Critical space involves the ways in which space is created, named and given meaning in terms of power. Modernity and globalization obviously reflect a catastrophic society. According to Virilio significantly interfere with the natural ecosystems that support livelihood[1]. This is in line with the popular text by Hawking that with the current rate of modernization man will eventually leave earth to seek new home elsewhere[2]. The recent economic crisis for example forms a good example of the catastrophic effects that may accompany modernity. A great deal of thinkers have developed informative texts shed light on the idea of critical space. The central thinker about this concept is Paul Virilio. In his view, inability of humanity to understand their responsibility in upholding the environmental support which forms their support system heightens the disaster. Emphasis needs to be laid on the realities rather than theoretical perspectives that are difficult for the society to comprehend[3]. The concept of critical space traces its origin from the related volume L’ Escape critique in 1991[4]. In this volume the title was addressed…
The Nervous System: Access to Nursing Care Introduction An understanding of how the nervous system work plays a crucial role in ensuring that nurses effectively deliver quality care to patients. This is because the Nervous System is responsible for controlling all the functions of the body where a majority of health conditions can be diagnosed through an understanding of the structure and functions of the various elements that constitute the Nervous System. The role of this study was to determine the reasons why access to nervous system knowledge is necessary for nurses. Nurses spend the most significant time. As such, knowledge about the Nervous System would help them to offer better care to patients whose health conditions are linked to nervous system malfunction. This study is however limited to the use of secondary sources and therefore does not add new knowledge to the already existing body of research. Table of Contents Introduction. 2 Findings. 3 SECTION ONE. 3 Structures and Functions of the Brain. 3 The Central Nervous System versus the Peripheral Nervous system.. 5 Branches of Automatic…
Challenges for forensic science Introduction Over the years, there are several challenges for forensic sciences in Houston city. This led to the formation of the Houston Forensic Science Center (HFSC) to give independent forensic services to police agencies (law enforcement agencies). The Houston Police Department (HPD), the primary law enforcement agency, built the city’s crime. HPD officers and other ranks like sergeants do staff in the Crime Scene Unit (CSU).CSU investigates, carries out the processes, gathers information, and documents severe crimes such as police shooting and assassination. HPD’s Homicide Division and the District Attorney’s Office express the complaints on quality service delivery. The HFSC President, Dr. Daniel Garner, asked the team of auditors to come to Houston to carry out the audit of the Crime Scene Investigation Unit (CSIU). The inspection was done in June 2016 and took two days. The team comprised of Fisher, Green, and Nodael. The project consisted three-day visit to perform the following tasks: that is to review officers involved in scenes and to provide explicit and written recommendations for making crime scene processing units better.…
