Create a Toy from things available in a home Create a Toy from things available in a home. This should be a toy for a baby in early, middle or late infancy. Make sure you have used materials that are safe, or at least explain how you would ensure the toy would be safe. Draw or take a photo of this toy and submit with a detailed desсrіption. Be sure to answer the following guiding questions: Describe the toy and how you created it.What age will benefit from the toy and why?Explain how it will benefit an infant in all of the developmental domains. What developmental theory informed the design? Be sure to use references to theories or research discussed in your textbook. I expect this paper be about 2-3 pages. Be specific. If it is for a child who is 9 months old, where is he developmentally and what would he do with it? Would he be likely to put it in his mouth? Throw it? Stand on it? Please share photos if available! BSc Architecture and MSci Architecture Assessment Task We are inviting you to submit five A4 drawings as frames of a storyboard in response to the theme of Re-imagining the Ordinary: Inside/Outside. Your drawings should be quick and personal responses to the theme. They should emerge as observations from everyday life and not be drawn from photographs. They should relate to a space, a place or an object in its context and explore multiple points of view (visual and conceptual) at various scales. Your drawings should explore different media; at least two must be drawn with pencil, one mixed media and one a photograph. One of your drawings should be done in 5 minutes, one in 15 minutes, one in 30 minutes, one in 60 minutes with one being an interpretation of the image below:[unique_solution] Gordon Matta-Clark Conical Intersect, 1975 This image refers to the ordinary and you should show how you understand it. Your response to this image might demonstrate your personal understanding and spatial interpretation of the work or investigate imaginary and playful tangents. You can use any media you like from a sketch or a collage directly…
Toaster essay A toaster is an electric appliance that converts electricity into heat energy. This gadget contains a heater made from Nichrome wire, a thermostat, and a popup tray. The parts allow the electric power to flow through the radiator and warm a slice of bread to a specified temperature. Heater The Nichrome coiled wires heat the slices of bread to the required temperature levels. Electric current flows from the cable plugged into the electrical supply through the radiator (Baguley & McDonald, 2015). The process transmits energy from one end of the cable to the other. As the electricity flows, the electrons in the filaments collide with one another to generate the required heat. Thus, the Nichrome filament converts electric power to heat energy. Thermostat The thermostat determines the duration that the slice of bread must heat. A bimetal-strip thermostat fitted close to the heater bends as heat increases (Woodford, 2018). This gadget bends enough to switch off the heating element once the toaster reaches the right temperatures. The control knob allows the user to determine the distance that the…
Engineering Solution of Renewable Energy in Rural Areas (Cook Stoves) Paste Engineering is all about coming up with solutions to meet the needs of the people. By designing solutions to help people, engineers can make initiatives in rural communities resulting in the use of less and cleaner energy for cooking and heating (Glass 2018). In most rural areas, many families rely on solid fuels due to limited incomes. The solid fuel includes coal and biomass. Design solutions must be affordable, robust, sustainable, and culturally appropriate so they can make a real difference in the health of the families who use them, as well as the environment (Pemberton-Pigott 2018). This paper is going to discuss about cookstoves as an example of an affordable source of renewable source of energy. With regard to the problem, engineers have recently developed a charcoal stove prototype using locally available materials, among them granite rock, glass wool, and stainless steel (Pemberton-Pigott 2018). The stove describes the design properties, thermophysical, and thermodynamic performance of the granite rock applicable in thermal-energy storage system fabrication. The thermophysical properties of…
Teratogens Teratogens include substances which may produce physical or functional abnormalities to developing human fetus, especially when the pregnant woman is exposed to them. Teratogens cause congenital disabilities or halt pregnancy in extreme cases. Broad classifications of teratogens are maternal infections, chemicals, radiation, and drugs. These drugs include inhibitors, acne medication, alcohol, antidepressants, such as lithium, anti-cancer drug methotrexate, and blood thinner medication. At the onset of the pregnancy, teratogens kill the embryo while exposure during organogenesis causes congenital malformations to the fetus, therefore, pregnant women are advised to refrain entirely from alcoholic drinks. In particular, alcohol consumption is harmful to the development of a baby, as its intake by pregnant women directs the drug to the umbilical cord, and its effect starts taking a course. Alcoholic drinks, such as wine and beer, are equally harmful to the woman’s health and cause miscarriage and stillbirths to the developing fetus or disorders to babies born later (Popova et al., 2017). Taking alcohol during pregnancy leads to physical disabilities in children, such as small head size, low body weight, and shorter-than-normal…
The Reasons Why Washing Your Hands Is Mandatory Especially Today As the threat surrounding the spread of the coronavirus intensifies, washing your hands is now more critical than ever. The centers for disease control and prevention (CDC) are urging people to wash their hands regularly. Considering the virus has no known vaccine or anti-viral drugs to treat it, prevention is now the primary line of defense against the disease. It is, therefore, adhering to basic hygiene strategies like keeping your hands clean is a crucial weapon disease. How Corona Virus Is Transmitted Coronavirus is spread when droplets from sneezing, breathing, and coughing are transferred from one surface to the other. Your hands touch several surfaces daily; hence you pick many microbes. Therefore, when you touch parts of your body such as mouth, eyes, or nose using contaminated hands, the pathogens get into your system. A survey done by the department of clinical nursing at Ulsan University shows that of 2800 respondents, 93.2% did not clean their hands after sneezing or coughing. It is, therefore, evident that a lot of infectious…
Functional Architecture An architecture model is defined as a partial abstraction of a system. This means that it is an approximation covering the different properties and features of the system. It must indicate all the crucial features of the system. Through architecture modeling, the characteristics of the system are identified as well as proper visualization of the information in the model. (Queirós, Silva, A. G., Simões, 2018).The intended behavior of the system is captured through the functional requirements. The expected behavior could be in terms of the task to be handled by the system, the jobs, or the functions at hand. Having a first functional requirement will enhance the uniqueness and improve the ability to meet the intended behavior. The architecture model is operated within a hierarchy of governance structures. For any architecture model to be successful in terms of architecture governance, it must have gone through some compliance (Kumar, Nori, Natarajan, & Lokku, 2014). One, the architecture model should be consistent. This means that during its implementation, some features must be shared with the specifications and must be…
measurements and the features that can be taken together with the reasons for improving these services in the sunlight hospital When patients are looking for health services, their focus is on care provided by any given facility. If they get proper care, then they are satisfied with the services, and they will keep on visiting such healthcare facility again and again. There is a lot of competition in healthcare centres in the world today. Therefore to have a competitive advantage in this sector healthcare organizations should provide the best services and care if they will have to keep the clients or even have them increase. This can only happen by laying down strategic differentiator. This essay will discuss the measurements and the features that can be taken together with the reasons for improving these services in the sunlight hospital to enable the hospital to work better and gain competitive advantage. Various measurements can be taken by the sunlight hospital to ensure that proper care is given to the customers to their satisfaction. Let’s now have a look at these measures.…
HARNESSING THE SCIENCE OF PERSUASION The Journal “Harnessing the Science of Persuasion” has been praised by the journal market as one of the best books or journals written in the past ten years. Everyone in the field of developing a new product concept must understand the essentiality of the science of persuasion. The book discusses the six principles that consumers employ to make decisions while in the supermarket (Morgan et al., 2017). Adequate knowledge of the principles of persuasion is important because it helps producers to present their products in a compelling fashion to survive the challenge of concept screening. The book Discusses all the six cues of persuasions, as outlined below. Authority (Designed by experts) The Principle of authority states that tend to go as per the conclusion of the experts or the concerned authority (Morgan et al., 2017). Consumers do not care about the nature of the conclusion. All they care about is that it came from an expert or a certain authority. According to the consumers, experts are knowledgeable and experienced, and thus they save them time…
How microbes affect who we are through the presentation on microbes, among the significant factors that I managed to learn is that similar to genes, everyone has microbes that are unique to them. The microbes have the possibility of influencing and determining the health patterns of individuals and the way people behave. For instance, it was interesting to find out that the microbes that individuals have would affect can affect as simple things as attracting mosquitoes. They could also impact health conditions, including eating disorders such as obesity, in addition to the determination of the levels to which individuals are vulnerable to getting infections such as gut infections and breathing disorders. Among the factors that I found interesting is that although individuals, precisely identical twins could have a similarity of up to 99% in their genetic makeup, there is no possibility of two individual having a high similarity in the composition of their microbes. The possible similarity that individuals could have with their microbes is only up to 10%. Another interesting factor in the presentation includes the fact that the…
