The community had various resources that it would tap to create community awareness on disease control and prevention. They include; the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and the Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA) (Han et.al. 2017). Similarly, in other parts of the world like Africa, community health bodies that sensitize the public include Africa Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF). Wedding – an opportunity to know yourself Many people think and say that planning a wedding grants you a chance to know your friends, enemies, family, and colleagues – but that’s not the case; it’s an opportunity to decipher yourself. The question is – why would you purport to understand others when you haven’t understood yourself? No one – from literate to illiterate, young to old – can claim an explicit understanding of self. That’s why all of us wrestle with unbecoming traits. And this struggle will continue till Jesus returns. You have probably heard an anecdote of an atheist who invoked God to remind him of the title of a book he had written, denying the existence of God. , it’s like asking God to help you deny His existence. Your friends, enemies, and family help you plan your wedding – it’s thus wrong to bedevil or abet any party just because of a mere wedding that nobody knows whether you would sustain. Wedding expectations It’s good to plan your wedding as if you had no family,…

legal and financial implications associated with nonprofit wholly-owned social enterprises Introduction From the case study, the efforts of Bruno Conti led to the formation of Independence Matters (IM) in 1996. In line with Conti’s effort, IM’s mission was providing support to the disabled people and also identifying solutions and opportunities for the group. IM’s mission was aimed at helping the disabled live a full life by providing social, health, recreation, and education services. Over the years, IM built a lot of respect as a nonprofit organization for its dedication and services from members of the community. However, IM was highly dependent on fundraising, an aspect that Conti believed was not good for the company. Conti believed that there was a need for IM to find other funding sources to support its operations rather than being reliant on fundraising. With the support of Bob Delaney, Conti was able to convince the board to turn IM into a nonprofit wholly-owned social enterprise leading to the not-for-profit to be renamed to Independence Matters Retrofitters (IMR) due to change in structure and operations. Although…
Religion in Chancer’s Canterbury Tales Chaucer was the first English poet and lived during a period of plague, social revolt, war, king murders and religious disagreements. However, the society was active, creative and very educated, during the renewal of the English language as the new medium for literature. Chaucer was a civil servant who successfully served three kings in diverse careers. His greatest accomplishment was establishing the English language as the primary language for writing. His poetry explored themes on humanity with humour, thus gaining a lot of acceptance from the audience. The poetry uses religious elements, for instance, religious language, imagery and figures which help to communicate the intended meaning. The Man of Law Tale mainly explores the theme of constancy, a term described during medieval times as patience. Patience is a religious element that shows ability to endure adversity and faith in God. Constancy can also refer to one’s allegiance and obeyance to the law. Constance like Griselda upholds the human virtue with the help of divine grace to overcome the temptations of this life (Yunck 245). Similarly,…
Neurogenesis paper SUMMARY Neurogenesis is a broad and highly regulated process that ends in the production of other neurons. It occurs at high rates during the embryonic period when substantial quantities of new cells are generated and subsequently moved to the developing tissue. The hypothalamus centrally regulates feeding behavior and energy balance. Nuclei that are found in the hypothalamus share interconnections and maintain the body homeostasis. The arcuate nucleus produces neuropeptides that act to increase food intake and others that act to reduce food intake. Neurogenesis is known to take place as the response of hypothalamic circuits and to the metabolic signals. Hypothalamic feeding circuits in adult mice begin in the embryonic period and goes on for the initial weeks of postnatal life. In mice, some cells initiate the variance between the first postnatal days, a process that finalizes in the first month of life. The functions of Tanycyte are not clearly understood, but they have an involvement with the feeding behavior as the chemosensory cells and NPCs react to the diet alterations. In the embryonic period, when the hypothalamic…
