Second Edition Revised Children’s Manifest Anxiety Scale (RCMAS-2) In this study, the Second Edition Revised Children’s Manifest Anxiety Scale (RCMAS-2) will be used to assess participants’ levels of anxiety after each weekly assessment. Bert Richmond and Cecil Reynolds created the RCMA-2. It is useful in bringing into focus the invisible stress, worry, and fear that children often try their best to conceal. While they conceal their anxiety through silence and compliance with teachers and parents, their academics and social development are often harmed. They begin to struggle in their studies, and consequently withdraw from social interactions and can end up abusing substances. The properties that have made the scale acceptable in the psychological analysis are its brevity, simplicity, and its target population – the elementary reading level, its focus on content-based items to identify problems, and its focus on intervention. The updated version of the scale includes a short form, which incorporates norms of ethnic diversity. Of most importance is that the scale is up to date based on the way children’s way of experiencing anxiety has changed today. The…

Beliefs and needs Beliefs and needs are some of the most influential factors that govern the behavior of an individual. When one is born, the brain is often not fully developed. As such, they are always ready to gather information from the environment and form beliefs based on the collected information. People then act in ways that are consistent with their belief system. The beliefs then play an influential role in the way one behaves and how they build character and personality. This implies that the experiences that one gets as a child are responsible for developing their beliefs, and may last for the rest of their lives. According to Albert Bandura’s Social Learning theory, a child gets new behaviors by observing and imitating the people around them. This process is both cognitive and social and can take place even without any reinforcement. They also learn through observation the aspects of rewards and punishments. Therefore, if they see that a particular behavior is often punished, they are likely to desist from it. This learning process is what forms their belief…

Christopher Ordaz My name is Christopher Ordaz; I am in my second year at Cedar Valley College. Hobbies are the activities we engage in to feel satisfaction, and, in other instances, activities we derive joy from. My hobbies include playing occasional multiplayer video games with my friends, going out on the weekend, and taking hikes. Also, I love taking trips around the country, visiting new interesting sites such as national parks. Besides all the fun activities I engage in, what I would like to do is to take some time right after college ends to travel the world. One of the reasons I want to travel soon after college is because traveling is a hobby that I enjoy. It provides opportunities to create lasting memories and connections or friendships. I also want to travel because traveling will make me more knowledgeable and culturally diverse in preparation for the job market. However, my parents and some of my friends are against the idea of arguing that it will be an expensive endeavor, and I have no means to pay for it.…

role of the place of residence on human behavior Essay 1 My curiosity in understanding the role of the place of residence on human behavior has led to the realization that one’s family, school, and neighborhood shapes perception and attitudes that defines the approach to life. In my case, the experience of interacting peacefully with loved ones in a humble home has contributed immensely to the adaptation of values that I treasure in life. The duties performed as a member of the household and the task undertaken in school as a student has, in many ways, defined the approach to interaction with peers and strangers in the public setting. I have realized that one’s place in the world is influential in dictating the view of life, and such applies to many people I know. My sibling is an ideal example of a person affected by family, school and neighbourhood because our setting has formulated his friendship and actions towards conserving the environment. Associating with him has proven that settings formulates the foundation of associations. In this essay, the specific place…

Appraise Staff Performance Labor is a crucial aspect of any company. However, investment in a workforce without visible outputs can lead to the collapse of the organization. This scenario is evident through the many failures by state entities due to poor management and low staff output. To avoid these adverse effects, the company or organizations use staff performance appraisal (Bratton, 2015). These are intended to measure the output of employees and assist the organization in labor and product-related decision making. Effective policies are needed for an effective performance appraisal plan (PAP). A PAP requires both inputs of the management, the human resource, and the employees. As such, an organization should focus n ensuring that proper policies such as elimination of nepotism and favoritism are considered when creating an effective plan (Bratton & Gold, 2017). As a result, the PAP will provide the best results for each employee. The three most common methods of appraisal include 360 review, top-down, peer appraisal, and self-appraisal. Under 360 review, all managers, peers, and other employees are involved in the review process. This system is…
