My Leadership Style I have always embraced a transformational leadership style for quite a long time, and in almost all the leadership positions I have held in the past. To some extent, I can describe my leadership style as inborn and success-oriented because it has been hard to divert attention. I credit my internship program supervisor for triggering my inspiration towards the practice of transformational leadership, something that I have been unable to change for quite a long time. Significantly, I would describe my leadership style as one full of inspirational motivation. I like leading by example, whereby I get involved directly with the tasks assigned to my team. By so doing, I try as much as possible to inspire them through working hands-on with them to achieve the best. At the same time, I mentor, coach, and guide my juniors in their assigned tasks to promote creativity and innovation. To make the process effective and efficient, I reward their hard work as well as offering the necessary support required in making the right decisions. I encourage new ideas from…

A Case for Egoism and Utilitarianism The subject of morality is a tough one since what is considered right or wrong is profoundly subjective and differs from one person to another. This has necessitated the formulation of moral theories that attempt to explain how and why we view right and wrong the way we do. These theories have had a profound effect on our understanding of morality and have been instrumental in resolving conflicts and ensuring people live peaceably. However, these theories fundamentally vary, and their approach to morality can be quite different. The most popularly accepted normative theory of ethics is perhaps utilitarianism. However, a keener investigation exposes its imperfections and necessitates the intervention of other moral arguments to tackle problems within and beyond the workplace. One such useful ethical philosophy is egoism, which has been massively overlooked and unappreciated over the years. In today’s capitalistic society, it would be remiss not to notice the prevalence of egoism in virtually every aspect of life. The moral philosophy of egoism advances self-interest as the ultimate factor for determining the rightness…
offenders who conducted attacks independently without the help of any group or organization The report examined offenders who conducted attacks independently without the help of any group or organization. This article expected to inform us how law enforcement and the public responds to potential threats. The primary concept in this report is that there is no one demographic profile. Special Agent who conducted the research believed that a general analysis of an individual committing the crime should be done. The study would help to show up the factors that drive such individuals to use violence to solve their issues. Therefore, no checklist can be used to conclude that a specific person is a threat or not. There is a need to know how and when to report purported threats and dangers. A lot of information towards potential risks can be gathered not only from law enforcement firms but also from friends and relatives of attackers. Research shows that the family of the aggressors and close friends can notice and identify threatening attitudes and behaviors from the assailants. Only those who…
role of the place of residence on human behavior Essay 1 My curiosity in understanding the role of the place of residence on human behavior has led to the realization that one’s family, school, and neighborhood shapes perception and attitudes that defines the approach to life. In my case, the experience of interacting peacefully with loved ones in a humble home has contributed immensely to the adaptation of values that I treasure in life. The duties performed as a member of the household and the task undertaken in school as a student has, in many ways, defined the approach to interaction with peers and strangers in the public setting. I have realized that one’s place in the world is influential in dictating the view of life, and such applies to many people I know. My sibling is an ideal example of a person affected by family, school and neighbourhood because our setting has formulated his friendship and actions towards conserving the environment. Associating with him has proven that settings formulates the foundation of associations. In this essay, the specific place…

State Laws on Advanced Directives The patient self-determination act of 1990 was developed to ensure that the patient’s right to self-determination in health care decisions get protected and communicated. The role of the Catholic Church in Formation of Conscience The general concept of conscience is a term that describes self-awareness. In Christianity however, the definition goes a notch deeper. In Christianity, conscience is the internal rational capacity of a person that gives room for the voice of God (Carter, 2014). Some years ago, there was a common trend in films or classic comics where the main character had the trouble of making a significant decision. On each shoulder of the cast would appear an animated version of the figure where the dark one would represent temptation whereas the brighter one would serve conscience. Therefore, conscience is a God-given innate ability that enables the inner self to recognize between right or wrong. The Catholic Church defines conscience explicitly as a judgment of reasons whereby a person acknowledges the best quality of a concrete act that one is about to do in the process of doing or already done. All Christians, regardless of their denomination, have the Holy Bible as their guide. They follow the teachings and rely on it to…
