SUBJECT: CHANGE OF WORKING DAYS FROM 4 DAYS PER WEEK TO 5 DAYS PER WEEK
I regret to inform you that due to the recent complaints by the public, the city management led by our abled mayor has decided that all city offices must remain open during normal business hours-8 to 5- Monday through —beginning the first day of next month. We find this action necessary because there have been massive complaints from citizens who feel that as employees of the city, we are obligated to offer services and meet the needs of all citizens in from Monday to Friday. Therefore, as responsible and hardworking citizens, it is our duty to offer services to all citizens of this great city every day, and our offices must be well-staffed to meet the expansive needs of the public.
We understand that this will create some challenges and difficulties for you as it will take time to adapt to these changes, but I believe that taking this step is in the interest of the city. With your help, I am sure this is just a minor setback that we are all able to deal with comfortably. Therefore, I trust that this policy shall be abided by completely. Importantly, keeping high morale and productivity is critical in times like this. Should there be any changes to this plan, you will be duly informed.
We have faced some difficulties before and rebounded perfectly. I am confident we will all adapt to these changes. Your continued cooperation and excellent work are highly appreciated.
