Character Portrait:
My Aunt Sarah
Several people have made a great impact on my life, but I would like to recognize my aunt uniquely because her impact is extemporal. My aunt Sarah took care of me from childhood as if I was one of her children. I was born in Michigan, Kalamazoo, where we lived in one big apartment with the entire extended family. This means Sarah was always there for me. She used to bring me gifts, and when I’m not in school, she used to drive with me to the shopping mall to go shopping. What was interesting is that Sarah would do the shopping for me as she did for her children. She would not mind if my parents had bought me similar items, but she ensured she bought them for me. Every day she could check on me, and we became closer. There are days I used to request my parents to allow me to go and spend the night with my cousins so that I can be close to my caring aunt. Whenever I was with her, I used to forget whether I had my biological parents because Sarah was always concerned about me.
I can’t forget one day when I was 15 years old, I fell sick, and I was admitted to hospital for two days. Sarah asked for a leave from her job just to sit by my side and sing to meet sweet songs that I remember up to date. The day I was admitted, I saw her cry, which made me emotional, and I could not hold my tears as well. The day I was out of the hospital, you could tell Sarah was happy. This care and concern made me love her more.
At this point, even my parents knew that Sarah loved me, and they allowed us to have the best of our time, especially when I was not in school. I can’t forget the vacations we had together with her family. During the vacation, we could visit King Abdulaziz Arabian Center for horse riding. With her caring attitude, it was an awesome experience spending time with her. She frequently bought me chicken and chips because that was my favorite meal.
During my wedding, Sarah was the happiest of all. She kept on telling me how she wanted me to marry and live a happy life, and if I was unable to get a girl to marry, she could help me get one. I kept on laughing because of this statement. During my wedding day, Sarah paid for most of my expenses, and surprisingly, she paid for my 1-month honeymoon to Malaysia. This made my wife fall in love with my aunt Sarah.
My wife kept on asking me if Sarah was my aunt or my mother. Aunt Sarah made me forget my parents because she took full responsibility in my life. When I had some secrets or some nasty experiences at school, I just wanted to get home and share it with aunt Sarah. She enjoyed my stories, and if I had an unpleasant experience, she used to comfort me.
I hope I will get a child I’m so much attached to apart from my own children, that I will treat him or her the way Sarah treated me so that I can give back. I still feel that I owe Sarah a lot. I can’t tell exactly what I owe her but must probably is love to others; so that her love can be felt by others through me.
Up to date, Sarah cares for me, and she loves my wife so much. She keeps on visiting us and frequently checks to know our progress. Live long aunt Sarah. I love you so much, and no one can replace you in my life.
Place Portrait
King Abdulaziz Arabian Center
King Abdulaziz Arabian Center is a creation park where people go for fun, especially horse riding. It’s is located in Dirab, Saudi Arabia. This is a special place for me up to date. I was introduced to the park by my aunt Sarah when I was eight years old. On the first day, I wouldn’t say I liked the place because I feared horses. I even refused to ride on them the first day, and my aunt felt disappointed. The determination of Sarah to see me happy was not lost. When we got back home, she talked to me nicely and told me horses are friendly animals and riding on them is so amazing. I promised her the next time we visit the park I would ride on them if only we ride together. We agreed on that.
In a fortnight, we revisited the place. Though nervous, I got on the back of the horse with my aunt. We rode for around 30 minutes, and it was indeed an awesome experience. From that day, I have visited the place frequently only to enjoy horse riding. I also introduced my wife to horse riding at King Abdulaziz Arabian Center, and she has always enjoyed it, especially when we ride together.
King Abdulaziz Arabian Center is special to me only because of horse riding, and I was attached to the place because that’s my first place to ride a horse in my life courtesy of aunt Sarah. When I horse ride, I get relived, and today I enjoy it most when we ride together with my wife. These refreshing moments at the park makes the place important to me. I would recommend everyone to visit the place. Their services are of high class, and hotel services are available as well.
Character AND Place Portrait
My character portrait is aunt Sarah whose care for me is extraordinary. My place portrait, as I indicated above, is King Abdulaziz Arabian Center. The connection between aunt Sarah and King Abdulaziz Arabian Center is that she enjoys being in this place, and she is the one who introduced me to the park. We have visited the King Abdulaziz Arabian Center with aunt Sarah several times since the time I was eight years old. Currently, the visits have become limited and personal because I have my own family. Still, occasionally we go there with aunt Sarah, my family, and hers to remind ourselves of the old days. She keeps on making fun of me the way I feared and refused to ride on the horse the first time she took me to the park.
Conclusion
With my aunt at the park even up to date, it gives me total fulfillment and happiness. I want my peers to know about my aunt Sarah and the experiences she made me experience. Maybe we can all learn to take care of other children and not necessarily our biological ones.
