Temperament is the style with which a child behaves. The temperament type for Irma is feisty temperament. This is because I think Irma is a moody child in that. She is given some food in the table of which she did not expect, and she then ends up being moody by yelling since she has not eaten such kind of food before. I think the temperamental traits that are expressed by Irma is that she is slow adaptability in that things can easily get out of hand if not taken good care of by the caregiver.

The adaptability of her is too slow; her response to new changes is slow. Even after she is told that it is clean up the time she continues with what she was doing. She does not adapt to the new food served as expected. Therefore this makes the adaptability of Irma to be too slow to be taken off her. I think that she is very sensitive also to the new changes, she crosses her arms and stomps her feet in that the teacher wanted to cover her sandbox. Her response to the sandbox covering was slow.

Rhythmicity is the other temperamental trait, which is the predictability or unpredictability of a child. She appears not to be predicted. after the teacher helps her to wash her hands and lead her to the table, finding that it wasn’t the usual food, she becomes so intense and screams, “that is not the usual food.”

I will work with Irma by tuning into her temperament, whereby I will be giving her the food that she likes most, I will also give her time to wind up whatever she is doing. I will be flexible, keeping her temperament in mind. This will help her to thrive well and feel loved.

Ron

I think that the temperament for Ron is flexible temperament; this is because Ron is quick to adapt, whereby his actions are quick to adapt, whereby he does things very fast and without complaining. The temperament traits that he shows are the quality of mood, and this is how often a child’s mood is pleasant, whereby he appears to be very happy always. Ron shows quiet moods always and does not shows instances of intense reaction to a stimulus.

Regular rhythms, Ron shows regularity of rhythms, he does things five minutes Ron begins to clean up even before being alerted to do other things. He also puts up toys and goes to clean up his hands, even without being instructed. He always had positive moods when exposed to, for example, when he is served new food that he has not eaten even before he does not complain at any point but goes on and eats all the food on the plate and waits for the lunch period to end.

Adaptability is the other temperamental trait that is portrayed; this is the child’s response to any changes; he has higher adaptability to the new things and that he is not subject to complaining about them.

I will interact with the child by checking him from time to time. This is because he adapts to new events positively. Close caregiving will also be the kind of interaction that will be likely for Ron since he will show needs in quiet ways as he happens to have low sensitivity. The other strategy is that I will give a lot of attention to him not to get lost. By doing this, the child will know who you are and will identify himself and how you care. Tuning in to the emotional needs of the child will also help the child feel loved and satisfied since a child who has flexible temperament requires much attention.

Anh

I think Anh has a fearful temperament. This is because the child shows withdrawal traits; for example, At the rug, she suddenly starts crying and says, “I do not like Goldilocks.” when the teacher happens to interact with the mother about the incident its turns out to be the opposite. Since she had told the story of Goldilocks the previous night hence being a surprise to the mother.

The other trait that is portrayed by Anh is slow to adapt. This is because she does not join her friends while washing hands. She watches her friends were their hands, and after that, she goes on to was her hands and join her friends at the circle. Also, she happens to have a lower level of intensity; this is because when her friends run to wash their hands, she stays back and does not go together with other children, she happens to be reluctant to adapt to the new changes.

With Anh, who she has the fearful temperament, I will interact with her by giving her time. This is because fearful children need time to feel secure enough before they tend to come into the new task. Since the mood of the fearful child depends on her comfort level, therefore she will display a high level of regularity in her activities; giving her time will help her adapt. This will help her to cope with the classroom environment with her friends and also will participate in classroom events.

The strategies that will help can be first understanding fully the temperament of the child. This will help in adapting to your child’s temperament. Being flexible also to her, making sure that you understand her temperament, will help her to thrive. Letting her understand how you love her will help her to know how you care; this will also build a new experience for her while in the classroom.
