Children/Young Adult Literature paper
During this course you will be responsible for reading, summarizing, and evaluating twenty (20) children’s book titles and five (5) young adult book titles of your choice. They can be books you have already read before but this is also an opportunity to familiarize yourself with new children and YA literature. You will create an annotated bibliography for these books using APA style and format. The books you read, summarize, and evaluate should be a variety of different levels: Elementary School Middle School High School The books you assess should include at least: One (1) non-print format (e-book, audio, CD) Six (6) different genres of books (fiction, fantasy, scifi, bio, informational, etc.) One (1) that represents diversity One (1) that counters stereotypes Summarize: Within your summary of each book, be sure to identify the following information: Title Page count Genre Age range Does the book or author have a website? [unique_solution]If so, what is it? Is it useful? Evaluation: Discuss how the book could be used to teach a certain theme/subject Analyze important information and discuss how you could use each of these books in a lesson. Summarize and evaluate each book. Your assessment should be at least two paragraphs in length.
