China’s 3 Most Powerful Dynasties

China’s 3 Most Powerful Dynasties is a historical account written by Akhilesh Pillalamarri in the year 2015. The focus of Pillalamarri is on the history of China based on the three dynasties considered to have been powerful. While many people have argued that China was historically isolated as well as weak, Pillalamarri believes that the Chinese dynasties were influential and impacted on the overall global history. For instance, the article reveals that the many voyage exploration conducted between 1405 and 1433 was carried out during the Ming Dynasty. However, this act did not dent the economic as well as political influence China gained in Southeast, East, and even Central Asia. The major three dynasties focused on in the article include the Han Dynasty, which ruled China for four centuries (206 B.C.E to 220 C.E), Tang Dynasty (618 to 907 C.E), and the Qing Dynasty (1644 to 1911). In other words, the article evaluates the three dynasties concerning their effect on the religious, political, and economy of China as a whole. Each dynasty negatively as well as positively impacted China from a historical context. For instance, in view of the Qing Dynasty, it was during this ruling that the Chinese system collapsed an issue that led to China being humiliated by the West. From this context, arguably, the state of China in which it is today is as a result of the dynasties which shaped the country as a whole.

“China’s sociopolitical development was usually greater than its neighbors.”  Most of the dynasties allowed China to defeat the neighbors or even incorporate them easily. For instance, during the Han Dynasty, China developed monopolies on salt and iron. Salt, in this case, was the traditional primary source of revenue for the Chinese people. In historical context, the events that took place in the early years of China are evaluated in terms of the region’s contact with the outside world in terms of business, art, among others.

“It was during the Tang Dynasty that many other state societies developed under Chinese influence.”  The events that took place during the time of the Tang Dynasty were what contributed to the creation of the source. For instance, in view of the social and religious aspects, Chinese people practiced Confucianism, Buddhism as well as Taoism. The beliefs of the people from a religious perspective guided people in the way they were not only to behave but live as well. There was need to treat others with fairness and respect a fact explaining why ancient Chinese embraced morality as well as honor, and as it relates to the quote, the belief that people needed to have a strong government is what impacted China creating influence on other regions. In this context, followers of Confucius believed in the need for a government that was well organized as well as strong. It is due to this reason that the dynasties were created to help the Chinese government to become strong and defend itself from enemies as well as neighbors.

“It was until hundreds of years later that another dynasty rule over the Chinese heartland without major threats or issues.” Circumstances surrounding the political and economic situations of the events in ancient china are visible to have emerged from activities such as farming, art, trade, and even painting. The presence of Eunuch politics during the period of study facilitated the need to evaluate the impact of politics on the dynastic rule. As it relates to the quote, it is evident that the activities of the people are what facilitated the rise of China to have a significant influence on neighboring countries.

“The Qing were the first Chinese state to effectively control regions like Tibet, Xinjiang, Manchuria, and Mongolia.” In relation to this quote, the article explains the impacts the dynasties had on the Chinese government and how the influence impacted neighboring regions. While the dynasties at some point negatively impacted on China, the article reveals how the government was strengthened to keep away enemies and any threat to the nation. As it relates to the concepts of history, individualism, tolerance, among others, the author creates a more in-depth insight into how the dynasties shaped current China. Activities and beliefs of people are evaluated to show their impact on not only culture but the leadership of China in ancient times.
