In the recent past, the current world of business has become very competitive, and for any organization to survive, it must harness the capabilities of all its employees by ensuring that they are involved in the running of the business. This requires a collaborative leadership style which aims at bringing managers, executive, and employees together to achieve a common goal in an organization (Chrislip,2002). In health care leadership, it is essential to adopt meaningful collaboration due to the following reasons. First, healthcare centers have different departments that are required to work together to offer effective services to the clients, and this can only be achieved through collaborative leadership. Secondly, collaborative leadership allows people to learn from one another(Raelin,2016).In the healthcare industry, learning is a continuous process, and collaboration skills for employees are enhanced. Thirdly, collaborative leadership brings people together in an organization, and as a result, it boosts morale across the organization (Moseley, 2019). Working in healthcare centers sometimes could be very challenging, and therefore work morale is very important, which can only be achieved through meaningful leadership. Fourthly, through collaboration, it becomes very easy to solve complex problems in an organization (Chrislip,2002). Lastly, collaboration calls for people to work as a group, and therefore output synergy is realized through collaborative leadership. Healthcare centers require teamwork, and thus client satisfaction could be achieved through collaborative leadership.
