It has shaped how designed objects, how we receive information, how we work as well as how we connect with people across the world. Use of the computer has changed our understanding of the world and the universe as a whole. For example, in weather forecasting, we never relied on the use of equipment as it is today, which has increased the efficiency in the calculation of data collected at the weather station. Each wave in the development of computer technology has led to the innovation of new ways of creating tools, a new form of data collection as well as data storage. For instance, the innovation of the steam engine, combustion engines during the industrial revolution is believed to have played a critical role (White, 2016). The industries, during this era, yielded skills and material used in the development of the first computer. This development helped in enriching new technological development during that error that improved on how information was gathered and stored for future retrieval shaping the society on the need to comply with the innovation.
Most dramatic historical development of technology in computing was the innovation of the web in the 1970s and 1980s. This advancement in technology made the use of computer cheap and fast in networking and disk storage of information. It helped individuals and industries in storing their data in a way it was accessible to retrieval. Use of internet service was useful in the research where most companies employed it in making advancement in their operation to meet the changing demand that was being witnessed. It proved to be the most reliable device that changed the lives of people on how they undertook their daily activities contributing significantly on the safety on the data especially for employees (Balbi & Berth, 2019). In other words, historical developments of computer technology, especially the use of the web, influenced the shaping of the society making computer to be part of their daily activities.
Similarly, the innovation of use network in the 1970s enhanced the dissemination of information from one point to another. It changed the way people infused knowledge from one area to another, allowing them to abandon the traditional mode of communication. The use network became uniform with subsequent improvements on what they had developed during the 1970s by being able to interlink, creating a global network that was an essential tool in spreading information to the furthest destination where information was hard to be received (Weber, 2019). The innovations made tremendous changes in the field of communication, leading to a total overhaul on how society integrated information from one point to another. It became one of the most reliable tools by the human being in carrying out his daily activities, shaping the entire society on the use of computer technology.
In conclusion, the use of computer technology in society has become one of the most reliable tools for human life in the storage of information and communication. It has changed overall perception by increasing efficiency of data retrieval and delivery of information from one place to another. Historical development on the use of technology, especially during the industrial revolution changed society on how to make use of computer technology in their daily life. It proved to be one of a reliable method of dissemination of information. However, historical development on the use of computer has infused bad moral in society, killing once-flourishing cultural customs due to the use of computer technology.
