Causes of Conflicts

Conflicts on boundaries between Nations is one of the main sources of disagreements between nations. Leaders in a country may disagree political due to personal interests or through goals as a result of disagreement on different policies in a country (Wallensteen, 2018). Employees in an organization may also differ due to personal issues such as leadership positions in the organization. Employees may engage in industrial strikes as a result of demands for a pay rise. Conflicts between politicians may lead the necessity to initiate a conflict resolution process, a case study of South Sudan. The conflict in South Sudan involved disagreements between two main political rivals Riek Machar and the sitting president Salva Kiir Mayardit.

The arbitration process is the most preferred process of solving this type of conflict between the warring parties in South Sudan.  Riek and Salva Kiir should choose somebody who would work as an arbitrator. This Arbitrator will listen to complaints of the two politicians and take necessary notes on the. The Arbitrator will later choose the criteria of listening to complaints of the two parties.  Witnesses, exchange of ideas, and other activities follow. After preparation, the two parties should be ready to listen to each other complaints (Bercovitch, 2019). The Involved parties may make further recommendations before the final judgment.  After satisfaction, negation, and agreements, which usually takes a very long time or short time depending on the level of disagreement, the Arbitrator will be ready with a solution. The arbitration process should be updated with time to time so that it displays openness and fairness to the followers of the two politicians and the world in general.

Arbitration creates a win to win situation to the two parties as both of them will feel represented, and their grievances are taken care of by the Arbitrator. The political followers will also be satisfied with what their leader would have decided. Rival politicians in Kenya achieved peace through arbitration under the guidance of the late Kofi Annan.

Conclusions

Conflicts are common happening in society today. With proper conflict resolutions, the parties under disagreement may come to an understanding. Conflicts may lead to political instability, poor economic levels, deaths, and fear, among many other worrying happenings.
