Caret- This is a symbol that shows where an additional or substituted letter, word, the phrase is to be inserted right above the line.
Horizontal line- This is a delete mark done through a sentence, phrase, or paragraph.
Vertical line- this is a delete mark done through a single letter or a punctuation mark. Either, to indicate delete, a letter or a punctuation mark may be circled.
