Corporations Right and Human Rights in Developed and Underdeveloped Countries
Why writing about this topic will be beneficial to me:
The global human rights and corporation rights are changing from day today. This proposal is aimed at helping me understand the concept and relationship between human and corporate rights. Learning the way corporate is treating their workers in both developed and underdeveloped countries could improve my knowledge. It is important to understand that workers have rights to object any mistreatment by the company they are work for.
My Essay Thesis Statement: In the modern world workers are mistreated, and the human rights violated by cooperates with the aim of making profits considering the wellbeing of the workers.
Approach to the subject of my paper:
This proposal will explore and explain the human and corporate rights comparing and highlighting the current situations in both developed and underdeveloped states. Both human and corporate rights are issues that have become of global concern and are no longer a state issue. Developed and underdeveloped countries are affected by the corporation and human rights. (Simons, 2012).
As globalization takes place in the modern worlds the corporate is more focused on making profits rather than having a concern about the health and condition of their workers. Precisely in underdeveloped countries, companies take advantage of manipulating the government, by funding it through their projects. This is done by companies so they could be allowed to seek cheap labor and violating human rights without being questionable by the governments.
In both developed and underdeveloped countries, trade union organizers are threatened by the business entities. It, therefore, becomes hard for the workers to have their rights and grievances considered. Now, this could expose to continue living under poor working conditions, having the fact that their leaders are threatened to be killed or even lose the job if they organize for demonstrating or strikes. This could be common in the underdeveloped states. Where we have no sweetshops working condition and even child labor. In the developed countries there are established trade unions which guide the worker on the better working conditions, they ensure that the corporate rights are respected and the same is done to human rights (Grear & Weston,2015).Corporate will require the government to provide it with a better working environment, it should, therefore, focus on giving a better image to the community. Corporate should not get involved in polluting the environment as this could violate human rights this is common in many developing countries (Wijesinghe, 2018).
Corporate should incorporate the workers’ rights to develop a good image while they perform their corporate social responsibility. In case of any challenge the corporate should provide the workers with better working conditions, or show respect to the workers’ rights .The workers should also help the corporate by doing according to its expectation to their workers. Following all companies’ policies and rules. In case of any violation of the corporate right, the workers should be corrected accurately but no being exposed to any kind of mistreatment. The underdeveloped countries need to benchmark from the developed countries, the way both corporate and human rights are perceived and the developed states could set a perfect example to be emulated.
