Correlational Analysis
Question: Is there a correlation between a child being affected during adulthood after being mistreated in childhood years?
Explanation: I will be using the correlational analysis to determine if being mistreated during childhood years will affect a person during their adulthood. The study will be conducted by obtaining and analyzing records of adults who are said to have undergone such treatment during their childhood days and assess their current behavioral patterns. Most of these observations can be examined directly from the adults in question and their interactions between their families, workmates, and other people. During my research, I will not attempt to interfere with the behavior of those being observed, as it might bring out the wrong image.
Variables: The variables that I will include in the study include X and Y
- The X value is the number of reported children who have undergone abuse in their childhood years
- The Y variable is the number of adults who suffered abuse in their childhood years who are either working or have families.
- The sample size will consist of n=300 adults who underwent abuse in their childhood years
Personal Import: The set question is essential to me because, depending on the conclusions, I will be able to understand the impact of childhood abuse on adults. The importance of ensuring that children are protected from any form of violence in their early lives.
Social Import: My study will be necessary because it will help others who are interacting with people who have faced abuse during their childhood days, and the best ways in which one can best handle such people. Also, it will help people who are giving care to abused children know ways in which to cope with such children in the course of offering care and counseling.
