creating an organizational design
Hello Samarth Rangampally,
It is of paramount importance for business organizations to be considerate of several essential ideas before embarking on creating an organizational design (Walton, 2017). Bearing in mind that organizations exist to achieve specific goals and objectives, they need to have a clear framework on how that can be done. Different organizations have various designs depending on their size, the number of employees, or other factors. However, what are the key ideas that guide organizations to achieve an effective design? First is the concept of the chain of command in the organization. Second is centralization and decentralization. This helps to understand the procedure to be followed in the decision making process. The third key idea is how the organization can formalize all the elements in the organization. This will significantly help the organization to have all activities done correctly and without delays. Lastly, the organization ought to consider the idea of specialization to help define roles and obligations among different employees in the organization.
