The panel constructed focused on 16 destinations and 198 origins nations between 1980 and 2014. From the study climate change and political freedom were the more important driving factors. Also, migration is not only about movement of people from one are to another but it more concerned on what made those people move, what their effects to their area of origin and destination, are they accepted in their area destination and what can be done to prevent their movement willingly. The author of the article has addressed those entire questions and that meets the ‘big picture’ of the topic on study.

There is a systematic analysis of the variables- social-economic, political and climatic change. The author uses previous studies that relate to the topic on study. from the background you get to understand the reasons behind the migration of individuals from one area to another which includes climatic changes that mostly affects the nations that depends on agriculture. Also, it indicates that unemployment is another reason as to why people migrate. Political instability is also another reason identifies as a course of migration in order to search for peace.
This article is applicable in other context. The author has done a deep study on climatic change and brought about the effects of the climatic changes. He argues that climatic change affects the nations that depend on agriculture. The author further addresses the effect that climatic change can cause in a country’s GDP. From this it’s a probe that this paper can be used on climate contest. Also, the journal can be used in a political context. It has a deep analysis on the effects of political instability in a country. From the study one can note that political instability create unfavorable environment for working and living. Also, in a nation that the governing government is unstable it may fail to create employment for its citizen. Due to this, many individuals will prefer to move to other nations to look for employment. Therefore, this paper can be used by various governments to identify the effects of political instability in their country.
From my point of view the paper was well done although the author missed out one point that I could have liked to see in the paper. I believe that the process of migration either regal or illegal it has got a lot of challenges which ranges from the planning stage all the way to the settlement stage. Therefore, I could like to develop a full exploration on the challenges that migrates face. This will give a better picture on the reality that awaits any individual who has got a plan to migrate. Also, it can help in unrevealing the downs that citizens undergo when trying to acquire citizenship of another nation. By doing do it can help in opening up minds of the people in power to develop ways of minimizing the movement of their citizens since the movement put their lives in great dangers.
