Since childhood, I was always fascinated by the world of architecture and was intrigued by shapes and forms. The use of designs and aesthetics involved to produce visibly pleasurable structures was the center of my interest.

Fortunately, my parents played a fundamental role in the development of interest in architecture. My father is an architect and significantly shaped my attitude towards architecture. This was compounded by the fact that in school, much inclined towards creative arts, this was reflected in my grades, where I scored highly in creative arts, unlike in other subjects.

Having recognized my interest, I choose Bachelors in Architecture at Amity University, Lucknow. The five years bachelor was a learning phase for me, where new and exciting ideas and theories were taught. By the 3rd year of my course, I worked on the different concepts and designs for a house for a client who was impressed by my ideas and sketches.

Entering the 4th year, I was selected in one of the best architectural firm Design plus Architecture (DPA), New Delhi, India, for my internship based on my portfolio. Working on many projects like DLF Lucknow, Luxury apartments, and many other projects was a very much learning experience for me. I was tasked to use my new ideas on landscaping & interiors. Working on this project broadened my mind and approach as I discovered new techniques of construction. Continuing to it, during my 5th year, my thesis work was on Beach Resort, where most of the focus is on the human interaction, social spaces, green areas, interiors, and the design was according to the tourist attraction. Conceptualizing my idea was to design a resort that shows the culture and ethnicity of Goa in my project. My thesis projects were among the best works in my batch because it was responded by the Master’s Degree and gaining the necessary knowledge in architecture.

Certainly, my academic journey has not been without various challenges, which explain some of the inconsistencies in my grades. My real academic abilities are reflected in my high school grades, where I managed to secure exemplary grades as any other activity did not disrupt my education. I have surmounted this problem and firmly believe that I will excel in my academic pursuit at your college, emerging as one of the elites in the field of Architecture Design, and with immense positive influence in the society.

For my masters, I have chosen your prestigious university as I believe that with the help of your professional faculty, I would be able to polish my skills and knowledge.

Moreover, with students coming from diverse backgrounds, studying and connecting with them will bring a new change in my personality that would be fruitful for my personality.

After extensive interaction with alumni from (Amity University), I have decided to seek enrollment with your institution for a Master’s Degree in Architectural Design to further my knowledge in the field of architecture.

My attributes will be equally handy to my success in the pursuit of a Master’s Degree in Architecture Design at your institution. Concerning this, I am extensively committed to all kinds of engagements I get involved in, which I believe will be valuable in helping me secure excellent grades in this course. Additionally, I am goal-oriented, self-driven, resilient to challenging tasks and determined towards achieving the set goals. The desire for success is another prominent attribute that I possess and believe that is an inspiration to the success in my career.

I plan to seek employment for a few years with a firm that will enable me to acquire the necessary hands-on practice. Later, I will open my design firm either as an individual or in partnership with an equally experienced architect. Since India is a diverse and populated society, I will seek to change the lives of people in the community by promoting the construction of houses that are safe for living and through charitable contributions.

In conclusion, I believe that based on my academic ground and past experiences in the field of architecture, you will grant me the opportunity to advance my studies by pursuing a Master’s Degree, I would be of much value to the architectural academic discipline and the Indian economy as well. Precisely, my desires to attain academic excellence and contribute to this field are reasons to place confidence in my academic pursuits.
