Developmental goals

Motivation in the workplace is very essential. Generally, it increases performance at any organization. My internship at Urawk equipped me with knowledge on how to improve   performance especially when dealing with employees. In order to improve performance, there is special kind of treatment which employees need in order to perform well. For instance, you cannot work under high pressure and expect to realize benefits. The manager at Urawk stressed on working under a peaceful environment on which all corrections for mistakes made accidentally were done accordingly. Secondly, I cannot work in an environment that encourages ambiguity. This means working for same goals with those of other related companies. It brings a lot of conflict and incapacitation in the workplace. Time factor at my internship was questionable. I could not cooperate in an environment where no respect of my time at all. Extreme time limits demoralizes employees and has a negative effect on the productivity. Isabel, an employee at high levels of management pretended to seriously train and teach me on what was expected but she ended up ironically reporting about my poor time management. When the same case happened to my direct supervisor Yudi, he decided to quit. I think this is the best option to deal with the case. The owners of the company hid their aims and objectives. In addition, there was no communication on preparation for internship. In order to perform well, one needs an alarm on the mission and the vision he or she is working under. I prefer a recognized program at work. The routine did not encourage boredom. I consider working in an environment that encourages unity. The internship at Urawk, did not lay strategies on how to strengthen unity among employees. Unity promotes consultation among employees at the same level in the organization. This facilitates increased productivity and peaceful environment under which employees can work with the same goal.  General orientation in an organization is very important (Pfeiffer et al 2012). Most of the mistakes made in production sector of an organization are associated with lack of initial orientation.  I did not trace anybody who could create awareness on what goes on in the organization. I was taken to my department and expected to perform like the other employees who had gained enough experience on what to be done in the organization. This led to my poor performance in the production. Also, it led to conflict between one of the interns and the supervisor. Up next, the intern had to quit immediately. Personally, I tolerated with the situation in order to acquire the other skills. Competition plays a major role in the progress of a company (Pfeiffer et al 2012). Any company should actively compete with other firms particularly in the same line. Competition is done on the bases of goods produced and the state of technology used among other factors. Did not recognize effective competition and that is the reason the organization was always ranked poorly in the industry. I was not comfortable with the organization because no much research on how other related organizations performed (Pfeiffer et al 2012). Routine by the management to the employees ensures every activity is undertaken on time bases. Also, it minimizes confusion in at any organization. Working under a high level of autonomy and structure and little supervision are my preferences as an employee. This clearly explains the reason as to why I managed to work with the local government for the last fourteen years. The local judgment had a well-structured routine that did not require much judgment.
