WIN provides help to homeless women and children living in New York by providing them with transitional and permanent housing. The foundation also supports women in getting education and job opportunities. The main difference with the Doe Fund is that WIN is focused explicitly on helping women and their children.
Help USA Inc. – this non-profit organization is also based in New York and is the leading homeless service provider in the nation. The organization is also a low-income housing developer. Help USA serves at-risk populations from all backgrounds, including veterans, families, domestic violence survivors, senior citizens, and people with disability and other health challenges.
Project Renewal – the mission of this organization is to end the cycle of homelessness by empowering families and individuals by renewing their lives through homes, health, and jobs. They are focused on homeless adults with chronic diseases, substance abuse disorders, and mental illness. It provides permanent and temporary housing, case management, benefits advocacy, mental and medical healthcare, employment training, and other services that promote stability. This helps families and individuals to get housing and work opportunities.
