EBP and Research
The evidence-based practice is aimed at the induction and deduction of proper decision making and argument through mathematical and scientific practice. Nonevident based practices solely rely on intuition, tradition, and unproven procedure. In nursing, EBP is a research evidence integration which encompasses the patient’s preference and clinical expertise. This practice influences nursing in the provision of customized patient care. Obesity is presently one of the global most massive health problems associated with different comorbidities. It is projected to affect close 700 million people by 2025. A journal on endocrinology and metabolic syndrome in a clinical research practice to finding an ideal procedure for calculating body fat in overweight people. The main aim objective for this research was to establish straightforward, reliable and simple procedures for calculation of body structure clinically while verifying the concordance amid body constitution by skinfold depth or thickness and its biometrical impedance analysis (BIA) in regards to their relation to anthropometric indices (de Menezes, Souza Lopes, Cunha, Jansen, & dos Santos, 2012).
The article specifically addresses obesity as in people and proper ways of measuring body fat content. I would present this article in an International Conference on Obesity in Teens and Adolescents. The reason I chose this venue is because of the venue, which is in Vancouver, Canada. This country reported 64 percent of cases of overweight and obese in the year 2017 through their public health department. This means that the conference will attract many people, and this the knowledge in this article will be disseminated to the right audience. The article also aligns itself with the call for paper for the conference. Some of these papers include weight loss medication, current and new research on obesity and obesity in general (de Menezes, Souza Lopes, Cunha, Jansen, & dos Santos, 2012).
The research findings were that there exists a strong correlation between biometric impedance analysis and the rationality in calculating body fat content in overweight people. Nevertheless, BIA seems to offer improved results in consideration of its relation with indicators of anthropometric used.
