Introduction

Globalization has resulted in various impacts that affect almost every sector of many government systems since it is part and parcel of many activities in the country. Most industries depend on trends of how things change with the change in the views of the world. For instance, the finance, transportation, infrastructure, information, and technology sectors have been booming over the years because of globalization.

Impacts of globalization on diversification in education

Not excluding the education sector, it has benefited from the outcomes that globalization has offered. Education systems have to be integrated with the trending fashions in the market, to ensure that students acquire what is currently happening in the country and the world at large. The impact that globalization has in the field of education has grown to become a huge concern. The effects that this process has brought along in this sector include;

• Multilingualism

This is the ability of an individual to speak and understand in more than one language. Multilingualism has been advantageous because there is no benefit in understanding and speaking one language in a world full of different styles of communication. Therefore, through globalization, multilingualism has been achieved through several world-wide scenarios e.g., migration, colonialism, and imperialism. Also, the media from different countries communicate in different languages. Hence, students need to be taught multiple languages to understand all this, resulting in diversification in the education sector.

• Multiculturalism

Multiculturalism is the adoption of different cultures to add to what you already hold. Wildly, the concept has always been understood as cultural diversity. It can be achieved in cases where some cultures impose their cultural perspectives on others. Multiculturalism integrates linguistics, cultural, economic, religious, moral wealth, and ideologies. This helps to develop a whole different model making it an inclusive society of all people regardless of their beliefs and origin. In education, the teaching of students from diverse backgrounds causes multiculturalism. Intermingling allows them to be taught a different culture by fellow students.

Diversification in education

Diversity in education has several impacts on the country. It fosters human, social, and economic development on the individual, the community, and the state at large. This process continuously influences progress in science and social change in many societies and acts as a driver of change in the world.

Conclusion

What causes change to take place depends on the willingness of the personnel within that area to accept and move onto a different way of living. Many factors are affected by globalization, but education is one of the critical indicators of how positive or negative a change will be if accepted. Economic frequencies, social acceptance, and political arguments and treaties are beneficial if there is a mutual consensus between the parties in the agreement. Since change is inevitable and considered harmful, sometimes, there is only one way to know if it will be beneficial or not, and that is by accepting it.
