educational post
Your interesting and educational post regarding the relationship between organizations and society is highly appreciated. I agree with your perspective that for the mutual benefit of both organizations and society, they should support each other. Businesses should engage in activities that benefit not only them but also society (Kolk, 2016). Engaging in corporate social responsibility may enable an organization to acquire the trust of society, building a good relationship. When society has a good relationship with the organization, mutual benefit is achieved. For instance, when a business builds boreholes for the local community, the company gets community support while society gets access to clean water. Therefore, an organization and society need to have a healthy relationship, as it benefits both of them (Aagaard, 2016). Allow me to ask, what are some of the strategies that an organization may use to gain community support?

Hello,
Thank you for posting a well-thought post regarding the relationship between a business and society. I concur with your perspective that organizations and society should have a sound relationship, which would benefit them. An excellent relationship between the business and society enables the organization to secure loyal customers, enhancing the firm’s performance (Kolk, 2016). Customers like associating themselves with an organization that engages in community-based activities; hence, consumers become loyal to organizations that engage in CSR initiatives. On the other hand, the community benefits from the activities that the organizations do for them. For example, when an organization regulates its pollution to bearable levels, the community benefits in that they will be living in a safe environment without pollution, which reduces the chances of people contracting terminal illnesses such as cancer (Aagaard, 2016). Allow me to ask; what are the disadvantages of an organization engaging in community-based activities.
