Excessive drug abuse among the youth today has led to damage to their brain cells. It, therefore, becomes difficult for one to concentrate in class or get to understand anything taught. Therefore, their performance in class may drop drastically due to their failure to engage in learning actively. These kinds of people end up falling out of school due to discouraging results.
Moreover, some of them lack time to work on their classwork due to lack of time. The youth usually engage in drugs and forget about their classwork. Eventually, they end up not seeing the benefits of learning and therefore drop out of school.

The youth engaging in drugs today have caused instability in many parts of the country. They have chosen to participate in criminal activities to get money for the purchase of medicines. They always think of how to get money to purchase drugs, and in the process, they end up choosing to rob to get money to buy the pills. Moreover, many of the youth engage in criminal activities due to bad influence from their fellow friends. They, therefore, decide to engage in illegal activities to fit into a specific group of friends. Labour force is one essential thing that a nation deserves. In most cases, it usually comes from young people since they are said to be more energetic since they are growing.
