The Business Problem

A business problem within the environmental pollution industry that I want to work with and find research solutions to is the effectiveness of recycling, repurposing and reusing of textile products in reducing the effects of pollution to the environment. Environment entails biotic and abiotic things that includes water, land, air and all other physical systems and structures surrounding human beings. It also includes chemical and physical forces. On the other hand, environmental pollution in industries has been overboard which has affected people’s lives.

Tentative Thesis Statement

The research problem that I aspire to solve the environmental pollution will take into consideration the role or recycling and reusing various textile products to minimize environmental pollution. There have been any emerging chemicals that have been used in the textile and fashion industry. Industries have not been taking into consideration the possible consequences of using such chemicals which has led to different type of pollution on the environment across the world. Environmental pollution takes place due to conversions of energy and the consumption of resources that expose by-products to air, soil and water leading to water pollution, air pollution, and soil erosion.

The research thesis tries to determine whether recycling, repurposing, and reusing textile and fashion products reduce environmental pollution using a fashion industry case study. The research tends to find solutions in recycling and reusing these fashion products to solve the menace of polluting the environment. The type of pollution includes water, soil, air, noise, and radiation pollutions. During the process of producing fashion products, there is a likelihood of introduction of physical, biological and chemical materials which reduces the water and air quality. Pollution rangers from addition of addition of suspended solid materials and dissolved chemicals to soil, water and air in fashion industries.
