1. Describe the difference between race and ethnicity. What roles do race and social class continue to play in the United States?

Ethnicity is a measure of person’s cultural affiliation while on the other hand race can be defined as genetically distinct population belonging to the same species .with very minor genetic and morphological differences

An ethnic group or ethnicity is a population group whose members identifies with each other on the basis of common nationality or share cultural traditions while race refers is the concept of dividing people into populations or groups according to various sets of physical characteristics which may result from genetic inheritance .Ethnic groups differentiate themselves distinctively from others one time to another while races are assumed to be distinguished by skin color, facial type.

In UN States races and social class makes a difference in people daily live, in education people from different races are considered differently in education

In health some people may be favored by their races, racism also result to unemployment in the country.

2. Describe a discriminatory situation that you experienced or witnessed. Identify the individual aspects of this discrimination.  Describe any institutionalized racism that you have observed or experienced.

Institutionalized racism is very common scenario in today world. People belonging to different race practice discrimination in different ways. Ego in a firm the workers are given priorities to job opportunities according to their races and this is a very bad situation since some people may end end up being jobless and this may lead to lowering the standards of living in the country. such people become dependent to the society.

3. What should society do to reduce the possibility of discrimination in the workplace? What policies would you propose if you were the CEO? In order to reduce cases of discrimination at work place, those in authority should treat the workers equally. The CEO should come up with a strategy and laws that may govern the workers. The CEO should be monitoring the behavior of the workers so as to ensure that there are no issues related to racism in the firm during the time of recruiting new workers in the company. The society should also be educated on issues related to racism and discrimination. And laws be set to germen the activities in the whole society. The society should also should also advocate for equity and in areas such as in employment opportunities, in some institutions such as educational colleges and health centers.

4. What are the current cultural trends for the elderly? How does your personal culture influence how you will address the aging issues of your parents?

The elderly in the culture are seen as very important people of the society they are source of knowledge to the community. They pass knowledge about the history and the way of the people life. Personal culture may influence the way one tackles the issue of the his parents aging . if you
