Decision making in any undertaking is an important part to take, and to ensure you succeed in the process. The decision-makers ought to be well informed to make informed decisions. Today with the invention of advanced technology such as AI, some of the tasks, including the decision-making process steps that are made by humans, can be automated, leaving the task of making a decision primarily to the machines (Shrestha, Ben-Menahem & Von, 2019). The various steps where machine equipped with the intelligence base are involved in the decision-making process include:

Selecting participant
The selection of participants can be a tricky task for humans, given that humans are judgmental and hence prone to biasness. However, with AI, the machine will consider the qualification of each participant based on their potentials, thus picking the best experts (Garg, 2016).
Organization of the ideas
When the Ideas are generated, the AI can sort the ideas from the most effective to the least effective in a matter of seconds based on the parameters given. For human, it would take a long time and resources to complete the sorting process.
Evaluation of the problem
Assessment of the problem is critical in the decision making process as it determines what expertise is needed and the success in solving the problem (Garg, 2016). A mistake done in the evaluation of the problem translates to the through the processes of decision making and may end up leading to misinformed decisions. With the AI in place, there is no room for error. Various performance metrics are used in the evaluation process to determine the best way to solve the problem.
Shortlisting of the ideas
Shortlisting of the ideas generated may be a long and tedious job for human to do, hence the automation. AI can shortlist the ideas generated, considering over 100 factors in a short time, which is not possible with humans.
