experiencing rapid change and a high level of uncertainty
Right now, we are all experiencing rapid change and a high level of uncertainty. Some of the challenges we face are the biggest we will ever face in our lifetime. Even though change is a normal thing and we all accept it, the one that we are facing at this time is not as we expected. It requires you to develop inner strength so to withstand it. In truth of heart and logic, the pandemic stated as a joke, most of us knew that it wouldn’t take long till the medicine is found to conquer the pandemic. Sincerely speaking, it was in my mind that nations like the United States, China, Italy, Spain, among others, had got well-skilled scientists who can stop the crisis within a short period. However, decision making in such situations has been a challenge to many people, governments, and more so to many Nations. At first, it was a challenge for me to come up with a decision, but as the pandemic persists, I was able to decide.
Acknowledging that we are living in a world where technology is ever appreciating day in day out, it is easy to collect information about the pandemic all around the world. Through social media, reading articles from magazines, among others, I was able to know more about the pandemic. Besides, the knowledge I acquire from the readings and watching’s about the pandemic has really played a big role in my decision making. For instance, knowing that the virus spreads primarily from person to person through small droplets from nose or mouth, which are expelled when an infectious person coughs, sneezes, or speaks, I made a decision of keeping one meter away from another person, no shaking hands while greeting one another among others.
However, I must admit that I was so stressed when the outbreak of the crisis take control of the superior nations like Italy and then Spain, to mention a few. I was affected both mentally and physically. My behavior changes automatically. The fear in me was all about my life and the health of my beloved ones, especially those between fifty years and above, and the young ones since the pandemic is more active in the weak immune systems. Therefore, I decided not to mingle with the old ones and make sure that I stay active, I carry out training daily, something that I haven’t been doing in the past years. This means that the crisis has got a positive effect on the side since it made me reshuffle my schedule and include training hours in it. Besides, I think that what we need is critical thinking. The reason why I propose this is that what helped us to name the crisis is w the critical ll help us take control of it, and that thing is nothing other than critical thinking. Therefore, let’s think about the crisis and how we can stop it.
