Exploring new graduate nurse confidence in Interprofessional Collaboration: A mixed-methods study

In this article, the author has defined the Interprofessional collaboration method as a method that involves many health workers with different professional careers working with patient’s families and communities to give the best of care delivery in the society. The models represent in these articles are the didactic program, community-based experience, and an interprofessional-simulation experience. The didactic program concentrates on building skills among professionals, knowhow of professions, patient-oriented care, service learning, the importance of having a good culture on health care delivery, and a clinical component among the professionals. The community-based experience demonstrates how professionals cooperate in providing better service to the community and how the availability of resources has made a significant impact on one’s health status. The interprofessional-simulation experience explains professional team skills training in both formative and summative simulations used in developing skills in leadership and communication (Pfaff, Baxter, Jack, & Ploeg,2014).

The main issue with this form of the model in Interprofessional Collaboration is that they do not have clearly defined and measurable goals in the community. It is because they come from different educational backgrounds; hence it is hard to measure their achievement overall because some will have a demanding role. In contrast, others may not have such a position, and this makes it easy for them. In the same professional, there is a restrictive scope of practice because every professional is restricted to a specific jargon.

The main advantages of these methods are that their fewer error and there is reduced cost of accessing health care in this method compared to other methods.

A forest plot was plotted after the experiment to illustrate a series of numbers with estimates and intervals of confidence at 94%. (Pfaff, Baxter, Jack, & Ploeg,2014).

The statistical analysis in the article shows that a calculation by the random-effect model reveals that the method has a significant impact on IPE (Pfaff, Baxter, Jack, & Ploeg,2014).

In my practicum, the only model I would be interested in here is the didact model because it will enhance the professional building skills that I will borrow from other professionals.

Interprofessional Collaboration: effects of practicebased interventions on professional practice and healthcare outcomes

The articles are researching the importance of Randomised controlled trials of practice-based IPC. Five studies were conducted in which; two of the studies examined interprofessional rounds. The other two concentrated studies on the explored interprofessional meetings, and the last one explored audit by an external organization that was facilitating the research (Zwarenstein, Goldman, & Reeves,2009).

The model studied in the article has one distinct advantage of using this model to show the improved relationship with other disciplines. It is mainly because different workers are from diverse disciplines background. Also, the model reduces the general cost of health care access in the society they work in and have careers. It is because of Collaboration between other competing health systems that have a group of complex patients is an excellent way to stabilize care.

The disadvantage of using this method is that many members are less committed to the Collaboration because there are in large numbers that hence they assume someone will do it for them. The other is an issue on lack of adequate decision making since every person is mandated a specific field with fewer consultation grounds.

There was no significant difference between the categories in the communication numbers of professionally recorded in writings. Many meetings with an external organization, who used strategies to show how important it was to work together, came along with reported improvements in health care. It meant that the method could have a significant effect on health care, but this is experiment cannot be given that much weight given the limitation of lack of accurate and enough data.

This method would not apply in my practicum, given the need for my career enhancement and growth. Lack of well-defined goals in the model is also a significant issue of concern in my internship.
