factors influencing thoughts and behaviors related to gender

Different factors influence thoughts and behaviors related to gender. For example, a choice for a child to play with a doll or a truck or to be involved in an active play or passive play is more contributed by innate desires developed by biological factors. In most cases, female kids are mostly attracted to playing with dolls, while male kids are primarily invited to playing with the truck. This could be contributed by biological factors in that women are useful in children nurturing while men are good in physical works.

In some other cases, most male kinds are found to be associated much in active play as compared to females. This shows that there is an internal force that controls the behavior of the young ones. In my view, gender identity is mostly influenced by biological factors. One can be able to identify if a child is a male or a female when observing its behavior without consulting any other person.

Prompt 2

There are different language development theories that have been described. These theories explain the development of language and the ability to communicate. Following the video “mouth of the babies,” the semantic-cognitive method has been demonstrated. There has been an interrelationship between the children and the person asking the questions. In this video, kids show their ability to give a response to different issues concerning the Bible. Besides, they outline their ability to express their knowledge on various matters tabled before them.

One of the experiments that have been conducted in this video is on the knowledge of who Jesus is. This question has been posted to the kids who express their understanding of it. One of the most exciting parts is that those kids who don’t have any information speak out and say they don’t know. This experiment fit the theory in that it gives a room for children to express themselves.

In my view, language development changes from one level to another. The first teacher to any language a kind will use is its parent or the person it was with at its tender age. Following that, it is true that parents read to their children even before they start talking. This is because; a parent can identify what a child wants by looking at his or her behavior. This shows that there is an ability of the parent to learn what a kind is in need of.

Prompt 3

According to the video, one of the development milestones Lila reaches is that at ten, she got into the middle school, which she chooses for herself. Besides, she crushed on Ben.

When she was Eleven, she realizes that being a child would be of more advantages, for she would not have to bother whether a boy likes you or not. At this age, she started menstruation. When she turned thirteen, Lila graduated from middle school.

From the video and the information learned for this week, Lila passes many developmental milestones. All these mostly take part between her late childhood and adolescence. From the video, it is well outlined that she goes through menstruation. She witnessed this saying that she is not that happy with her growing big, for when she was a child, it was of more fun to have fewer responsibilities. The next milestone is in her transition to the middle school of her choice. In this, she got a chance to interrupt with different people and making new friends.

Furthermore, she got an opportunity to learn more about herself. For her being exposed, she got her first boyfriend, who later broke her trust. This can be termed as another stage.

Later, Lila finishes her middle school having leaned more of life. She now gets into adolescence. From my point of view, she has learned to adjust to change that come with growing from one stage to the other.

Prompt 4

Following the conversation, I agree with both Sarah and Marco. Most of the American kids are overweight for using many chemical additives. I concur with Sarah’s statement that there is an abundance of processed food and junk. Even though there are other sources of food like organic, this does not change the effect of unhealthy food on the market. From Marco, I agree when he said that parents are feeding their kids with junk. This has been an order of the day for most parents who do not want to cook. Instead, they want to buy ready food and feed their children. On the other hand, I’m afraid I have to disagree with his statement on overweight children eating less and doing a lot of exercises. This would tolerate their health issues.

Apart from food eaten, weight can tolerate children’s health issues. I would advocate for children to eat a balanced diet in all their meals. I would also suggest parents prepare exercise programs for their kids. This will help in the development of healthy children with fewer complications. Every parent must ensure that his or her child is in good health.

Obesity to children hinders their development. It is also associated with heart problems as well as blood pressure. Obesity will even lower the work output of children during their tender ages. Furthermore, it reduces the rate of children’s growth.
