Fidelity assessment results.

In more in-depth analyses of this research, the fidelity assessment gives a proper comparison and evaluation system between the proposed model and the implemented one as the DCC model. This assessment provides full prove whether the given project was executed or not. It also determines how active the project was and the effect of any changes to the initial plan. Additionally, the assessment will inform the relevance of results for the final evaluation concerning the project as it is currently. Based on our case of study for downtown community court, Malatest conducted the fidelity assessment and gave several observations (Frazer 2006, p 57).

Findings

The cases handled in the DCC daily exceeds the expected number. The implementation strategy needs to be revised and accommodate more claims. Secondly, the assertive case management teams are bee in place as per the proposed project. The most common causes identified here include murder, drugs, and domestic violence. The bill had proposed introduction of bails for claims with a low societal impact which is in place (Frazer 2006, p 60).

Lastly, the proposal of including the triage is an excellent improvement in the court system. This plan has created a platform for sharing information in line with the justice, health, and social aspects of human life. The triage is a significant factor in creating an avenue for gathering data, doing pre-trial meetings, and evaluating the strength of cases, which makes the court proceedings work smooth and easy to administer. The extent to which the DCC remains committed to fulfilling its mission to the community is missing in the report.

Observations

Based on these analyses and reports from the DCC, several comments and improvements are noticeable (Frazer 2006, p 78). The report observes that the DCC is far much efficient. It has improved recidivism rates and created efficient time management in dealing with cases.it is worth noting that after the implementation of this system, more claims are forthcoming on a daily bases. Time spent on each case is minimal, and there is a significant division of work in the court. The DCC system has introduced new strict rules that ensure maximum discipline to the offenders. Despite an increase in several cases, the grouping of situations has helped minimize the crowding of people in one courtroom, making it easy to have court cases of similar nature taking place at the same time.

Cases bound to for transfer like in VPC have entirely shifted and now being handled within the DCC. Based on the interviews of this report, it’s evident that many cases bound to be criminal have been diverted. About post-sentence appearances in 2012 and the current year, both in DCC and VPC were the same. The report, however, shows that this trend is increasing with the new measures for DCC gaining popularity. Pending cases scheduled in the court are decreasing on a daily bases. This circumstance is because of the alternative administration process brought about by the DCC.

Conclusion

In conclusion, this article has analyzed in depth the origin and the implementation of the DCC. The report is comprehensive and has provided evidence of the success of the system. The goals and guiding principles for the new court system are in place so far. The DCC at large has introduced new management that intervened in community engagement, timeliness in handling cases, and offender management.
