Figures surrounding the Birth of Venus are in motion, for example, leaves of

the orange tree at the background, Zephyr’s blown hair rings, floating roses, gently breaking waves, cloaks, and drapery of the blown figures and lifted by the breeze.  Birth of Venus color is pure and light with well refined and precise forms. The nudity aspect of the artwork exalts beauty idealized in the classical style. The two lovers, Zephyrs and Chloris at the sides create a triangle and Venus is in the middle, thus creating a balance in the scene and symbolizes ideals. In my opinion, Botticelli to achieve the esthetics of Neo-Platonism of the time, he reconciled the physical and moral qualities of Venus by making the artwork painting autonomous. He exasperated the plasticity of the figures and expressed a sense of movement by the painting curved lines.

The Birth of Venus has a well-defined dark and light contrast that give the Venus a fair complexion. The dark areas emphasize on the Venus realism while the vibrant and bright colors enrich its naturalism. Its central position achieves the unity and balance and the figures on the sides instilling a harmonious mood in the artwork in entirety.

For sure, Birth of Venus is stylistic, thus inspires me to enjoy one of the significant renaissance paintings. Its physical beauty interpretation and

contemplation ease my understanding of spiritual beauty besides inspiring intellectual love. The Birth of Venus and similar artworks are the best when used as wedding paintings following their stylistic design, clarity, and elegance. Goddess Venus’s artwork is large, and its size is purely imaginary. Zephyr, a wind god, is at its left blowing wind shown by radiating lines from his mouth. He carries a young female less forcefully. A female figure is at the right-hand side floating above the ground and holds a rich cloak meant for covering Venus when she reaches the shores. Her dress floral decorations explicitly demonstrate that she is the spring, Hora. The scale of this artwork gives a straightforward interpretation of the artwork as everything is viewed, and Botticelli never painted the artwork in great detail or realism.

Dark lines are painted around the Birth of Venus’s body contours, emphasizing the milky skin color and ease discerning of bodily forms against its background. Her face is emotionally expressive, gracious, and elegant. The body is pale amalgamated with pink appendages, and the light color contrasts the artwork against other paintings. Zephyr’s dark wings create a dark arch emphasizing the artwork pale radiance. The complementary colors used to give the artwork a sense of harmony and completeness. In my opinion, the colors are crucial in painting pictures, and Botticelli was trying to enthuse a sense of peace which calms me and attain serenity while studying is the artwork.
