Personality is a person’s way of acting, thinking, and feeling. Khalid has a good character as well as his grandmother. Khalid is friendly, we can see from the way he interacts with his friends at school and greeting of strangers. Also, Khalid is mature. This is from the way he is courageous to talk and approach the teachers when faced with a challenge in academics, which is not the case for the other students.
Moreover, Khalid is a happy person. We can see the way he enjoys singing, making new friends, and dancing. Khalid is a humble person; this is when he relates to others ethically and affectionately.
Khalid’s grandmother also has a few exciting personalities that she claims Khalid will portray later in life. The characters are, she is happy, we can see from how he enjoys her marriage even in her forties. Also, Khalid’s grandmother is loving; it is from how she loves her grandson and husband. Apart from loving she is caring, we can see how she is worried about the health of his husband, grandson, and the entire generation. We can see how Khalid is open to her, showing she is caring and trustworthy. Finally, Khalid’s grandmother is persistent. She takes care of the husband when he is sick instead of giving upon him.
Khalid’s grandfather had schizophrenia. Diagnosis is when more than two main symptoms are recognized. Another way of diagnosis is evaluation; this is when the doctor asks about one’s thoughts. Khalid’s grandmother has a post-traumatic stress condition. The symptoms of this disease are haunting memories, and from the article, we see she noticed the husband kill himself. Khalid suffers from obsessive-compulsive illness. The evaluation entails a discussion of symptoms, feelings, and thoughts. They can also interview a friend or relative with the person’s permission.
Cognitive therapy works well for the post-traumatic condition. Behavioral treatment is sufficient for schizophrenia conditions. Exposure therapy is very efficient and useful for the obsessive-compulsive condition. Khalid’s grandmother started getting worried after his grandchild began showing symptoms of a mental health condition. Some of the signs he portrayed are social isolation, depression, compulsive behavior, fear, and ritualistic behavior. The possible causes of the obsessive-compulsive disease are due to inheritance and learned behaviors from people close to them. Encephalon abnormalities can also be a cause. The grandmother is worried about grandchild and great children because she does not know if they will live healthy lives. This is because the mental condition is an inherited condition and affects the next generation. As a result of that, she is worried because all she wants for her growing age to be healthy.
The environment someone is raised has many negative as well as positive impacts on the emotions, way of thinking, and character of a person. Khalid is a happy person. He learns it from the grandparents, who are always in a jovial mood, no matter the case. His behavior is affected; he learns from his grandmother how to be careful, discipline, and overall good manners. This impacts his life positively as he has a great personality that everyone would admire. He thinks like a grown-up because of the environment. We can see how he interacts with his teachers in a mature way and with a lot of courage. We can see how the environment positively impacts Khalid, and from that, he becomes a better person.
