I feel that the forced education break was enacted in the best interest of all individuals living in Canada. Coronavirus is fast spreading; thus, I perceive the initiative undertaken by the government as the best strategic approach to combating the spread of COVID-19. As such, I stipulate this time as the best moment of actualizing a full online learning platform in our country Canada. Online learning stands to benefit the large number of students seeking education in modern society relative to trends in education.

During this forced break, I have remained at home while carrying out constructive duties. I have since engaged in my online classes to ensure I fulfill my educational obligations and goals. The school did an excellent job of actualizing the online learning platforms in place of face-to-face meetings in class. I have been utilizing the internet to research on topics discussed in class prior to the forced break. I have also tried to keep in touch with the latest developments regarding the spread of the coronavirus and developed a deep insight into the necessary precautionary measures.

My behaviors have not changed much since I have developed a positive approach to staying at home to maintain the required social distance. However, staying at home seems boring since I must follow stipulated guidelines to curb the spread of the deadly virus. Thus, I have tried to control my behaviours to ensure I stay safe while also protecting all my loved ones at home and in the streets. Nevertheless, I feel if the break is prolonged, most students will not take their studies seriously since there are other pressing issues affecting their lives.

The videos made to substitute the face-to-face instructions have been of great use since they have facilitated the need to develop critical thinking. As such, the videos have complemented the physical learning in class by providing diverse education means relative to current trends in education. Contemporary society has been characterized by increased application of internet platforms while learning. So, the videos have helped understand visual concepts regardless of the problems caused by the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. The videos have excellently utilized themes relating to the normal classroom setting, thus leading to minimal disparities in the different learning contexts. I appreciate the fact that the videos deploy themes that promote mastery in learning as part of promoting student’s wellbeing during this challenging moment.

However, I believe that the videos ought to be improved by ensuring they are bite-sized. Shorter videos on the selected themes enhance student’s concentration and participation while watching the videos. As such, the videos would deliver pertinent information on the themes using the best strategic approach during this difficult moment. Also, the videos should ensure they provide hand-on skills to help improve innovativeness while at home. Thus, the video would express concerns in depth rather than revealing just the text images. Finally, the videos should include a flip as a lesson to promote in-depth discussions on specific topics.
