formal and informal Education
Education is the process of receiving or giving instructions in an organized way, especially in institutions. There are two types of education, formal and informal(Broudy, 6). Formal education involves a classroom and a group of students learning the same things from a trained person. Informal education is passed down outside the classroom and can take place anywhere, even at home; it is passed down the generations. Education should be administered to every person because it is critical information for human survival; it unites people, and it updates individuals on the current challenges.
Formal education unites individuals of the same age group in institutions such as colleges and universities (Hossain, 15). This has promoted cultural diversity all over the world, increasing productivity as different individuals from different races and communities can exchange and share their ideas.
Formal education keeps the generations updated on the current challenges and ways of solving them or prevention measures. Medicine students learn about rising diseases such as coronavirus. This helps to carry out protective measures for future purposes.
Informal education does not require enrollment fund, this is true; however, it cannot sustain everything need to equip an individual with knowledge, and it is rigid, it might not be update and information distortion is highly likely as it is mostly passed down by word of mouth(Quinn, 41).
Education is inevitable, especially informal education. Both formal and informal is fundamental to human existence.
