Gifts of God and how they should be used for the service of others
The selected Bible verse sheds more light on the Gifts of God and how they should be used for the service of others. From the teachings Gifts of God, the position or lesson to learn is that God is the owner and supplier of gifts to His people (Page, 2005). The rationale of God equipping people with these gifts is to carry out the works of service. According to the Bibles teaching, the actions of service is crucial to humanity since it aids a lot in building the body of which is the temple of Christ.
The human body has been given the mandate to carry out services. Among the services to be done by the body is pleasing the Master, who is God. However, it is found that the body has the mandate of offering services to satisfy itself apart from God (Page, 2005). It is a fact that God gives humanity various Gifts. Those Gifts are supposed to be used in a balanced way to offer services to God and other fellow human beings. In the context of offering services, it is noted that those Gifts are rarely used for God. Most of the time, they are applicable to God only on Sundays. During other days of the week, humanity is busy using God Gifts to offer services to itself.
According to Christianity view, the gifts are given by God, and they are supposed to be used in pleasing Him as the priority. Then the same gifts are supposed to offer services of benefiting fellow humanity. It can be argued that using gifts given to provide services to others should come second after benefiting from them. Just like in a health care career, it is logic to be first being healthy before starting to extend the services of being health to other people
