The government has control over education in many states. They influence learning by implementing policies that are not up to the mark. For instance, it observed in the marking system which deteriorates knowledge of the learners.

On the other side, the government increases fees in some institutions. It is an obstacle for students to acquire a quality education. It is because it demoralizes students from becoming eager for higher education.

H2: Why Government Should Stop Interference in Education.

The government does not provide appropriate education to students. They only emphasize on teaching students without giving them any practical knowledge. It indicates that they have a reduced standard of the education system which offers several reasons they should stop interfering with how learners should get taught;

  • The government should not interfere with students learning because they provide poor quality of education; it usually viewed when they employ poor quality of teachers in government schools. They are unable to attract the excellent quality of teachers due to inadequate teaching facilities and low salaries. Also, they have weak infrastructure and insufficient pedagogic attention.
  • The government has corrupt politicians; education institutions get headed by leaders that have intentions of making money. It denies students an opportunity to pursue an education where scholarships get offered to some students forgetting the commoners.
  • The government has poor development strategies toward the field of education; therefore, there is a decline in the demand for the teaching profession. It is caused by a drop in payment criteria for teachers, pushing them to switch to other job fields.

Moreover, students swift their dreams of becoming teachers, since, they lose the understanding of the value of education.

  • The government creates decisions for teachers; this act is not acceptable as teachers, middle leaders, and senior leaders are scared to make decisions. They gain fright because they are afraid of making errors that can make them lose their career. Living in fear causes poor delivery of content to the students.
  • Government is low to modernization and autonomous leadership in education; failure to advocate modernization in education institutes directly impede students’ progress in our changing world.
  • The government is very subjective to teachers; this leaves the educators feeling threatened and demoralized. They are patronized with a continuous change in exam statistics and yet denied space to think for themselves as well as make decisions. As a result, they are left unmotivated in their teaching force.

The government interferes with education hence taking schools’ progress backward. It mainly observed in public schools which they own. The government ought to stop interfering with how students get taught so that the education sector can become better and be of high quality.
