Government Reluctance To Deal With The Corruption Epidemics In The Country

The government is putting no effort into dealing with the corruption problem that is depriving the country of its economic growth. Many of the government projects are stall due to the embezzlement of the funds allocated to accomplish those projects. Still, concern authorities are not taking action against individuals misusing theseresources. These are taxpayers’ money, which should be accounted for to the last coin. Not only are these cases observed in government projects but also with the top government officials who are responsible for dealing with this monster.

It further reveals that the judicial system as the main hiding ground for corrupt individuals. When a person is accused of the corruption case, Judges and magistrates of these law courts accept to be bribed so that they free the accused person of the fact a reign in court. The government takes no action or judicial service commissions to discipline judges or magistrates who are found in this act. With time these acts become behavior, and it will be hard to be uprooted in the judicial system. Nevertheless, the less fortunate in the society will never get the justice they deserve as they will not be able to bribe the judges to freed or get fair hearing and trial.

Top government officials in the executive branch are in the front line championing the corruption instead of condemning the act. They are involved in several scandals of crime, but they seem not to be shaken or worried about the association with corruption issues. Their social status makes them take the lead and misuse of public resources and offices for their benefits instead of addressing issues that affect the public in general..

There is an apparent reluctance of the legislative system to make and implement laws that will deal with this issue, but instead, members of the legislature pass legislation that will protect them when accused of corruption. This shows the height of the rotten legislative system that is greedy and only fight for their self-interest instead of passing laws that will protect public resources against misuse.

As much as the government is seen as reluctant to deal with this problem, the public should also carry the blame as they give avenues to this individual to exercise their greed. The public does not take action or report corruption cases when they encountered, and they support it so that they could get a share of the cake not knowing the cake is part of his sweat and resources they could have used for development. The general public should be made aware of the impacts of corruption and how to deal with it to reduce this practice.

There is another group of individuals who are dodging the government and controlling several significant private sectors, which gives those privileges to practice corruption, evade government taxation, takes up big government tenders without following the correct procedures of tender acquisition in government sectors. These are cartels, and they are frustrating government efforts to get tax, fight corruption. They dictate several essential areas and weak policies in place to deal with crime.

This monster has a lot of negative impacts on ordinary citizens of my nature. We cannot get proper education because there are no resources to provide the best teaching, and the little amount allocated it is mismanaged and end up in the pockets of few individuals in the sector, increases the level of unemployment. After all, there is no infrastructure development that could create job opportunities for a significant number of unemployed youth; many of these youths have involved themselves in criminal activities that have taken away their lives prematurely. The less fortunate will never get justice they deserve because judicial systems are corrupt and cannot give fair hearing and trial, many do not have resources to bribe these judges to be accorded better hearing and decisions that favor them, and they will suffer under the rule of greedy judicial system that is supposed to give justice to them. Regulations made by the legislature adds no value to the needy individual in the society; they only favor those who are in better class, less fortunate will suffer much oppression from these rules.

Distribution of available government resources will be shared according to the level of development; those with better development will get more supplies, while regions with less growth will continue to experience poor economic development due to fewer resources allocated by the government to those regions.

Yes, the article was very neutral as it pinpoints problems of corruption in all the sectors that are encouraging the growth of this monster. It did not blame a single industry that is experiencing corruption problems.

It will be necessary for the government to put up strong policies that can be able to control this corruption problem. All government branches should implement strict rules that can be able to control this problem and ensure any of their members involved in the corruption scandals account for it and receive disciplinary actions.
