Greeks contributed immensely to Western Civilization in several ways
The ancient Persians were typical Iranians. It was made up of dynasties that went on for several centuries. The Persians had varied characteristics. In the economic sector, they were engaged in activities like metalwork, artisan activities like carving of the rocks, weaving, as well as architectural activities that served as their sources of income. They are well known for carpet weaving (Jarus 2017). Besides, they practised nomadism and kept on moving from one place to another in search of food for their livestock. In terms of religion, early Persians practised Zoroastrianism as their faith. However, after the Arab conquest of the area, Islam became an everyday religion that was practised in the area. Due to the desire for expanding their territory, the Persians collided with the Greek in the city of Iowa. The Greeks tried to send for support and solace to Spartans who declined their request. The Persians remained adamant to the calls for peaceful cohabitation and invaded Darius in 492 BC, however, he was repulsed by the Greece army. The failed conquest was the beginning of the fall of the Persian empire.
It is imperative to note that the Greeks contributed immensely to Western Civilization in several ways. The ancient Greeks were among the earliest philosophers who helped in shaping up the concept of philosophical reasoning. Additionally, in the field o science and mathematics, the Greeks were among the earliest mathematicians who came up with different formulae and hypotheses that are today applied in solving scientific problems (Mark, 2018). Moreover, they also helped in developing architectural designs, artifacts and even medicinal research. They helped in developing the initial means of medication and treatment that contributed to improving the standards of lives. It is believed that Alexander the Great helped in setting up the right leadership style that was founded on total obedience and respect to those in power. Consequently, he was able to have reliable and dedicated followers.
