Health organizations track patient experience to evaluate and enhance clinical delivery. Since the nurses spend a great deal of time with patients, they affect patient care plans tremendously. To improve patient quality experience, nurses need to know what factors affect health care and patients. In a learning healthcare system, patients and their family members play a crucial role in defining and running the learning process (Delaney, 2018). If patients are absolute and actively involved in their treatment and care plan, they significantly show improvements in their wellness, treatment quality, and economic outcomes.
Patients deserve treatment in all environments that rely on their conditions and is not the one suitable for the health professionals concerned. For optimal treatment, both patients and clinicians will participate. Clinicians offer information and guidance based on their medical knowledge and potentially result in the diagnosis and intervention choices (O’Leary et al., 2016). Patients and their families have intimate experience of or lack of different treatments for the conditions and desires of the patient. The selection of the right care alternative includes knowledge from both sources.
It should be noted that patient-centered care does not just mean that every patient needs to be accepted. It instead involves significant involvement with the available options to understand the patient and to engage with the patient and the nurses on the evidence and the decisions at stake (Delaney, 2018). Patient-based treatment can be complicated, time-consuming, and needs the individual, the family, and the clinical staff to take all of the issues that affect their wellbeing into account.
